  1. Actually at NA, every piece of armor could be gemmed but gems were only visible on weapons and off hands (shields). Sadly katar hawkers always looked lop-sided because there was only the one gem on the weapon but you held a katar in each of your hands I think you might be talking about that sparkly trail that you left behind when moving and gems at NA did not have that to the same degree as we had at my old pserver.
  2. I would definitely miss buffing newbies. I spent a good part of most days doing that (while my other toons were standing in our clan spot in Junon lol). I know there are going to be some major changes to the cleric job class but clerics will still be able to buff. I really feel that buffing is the most natural way to interact with new players and from what we've been told, groups will still be in the game so that option will still be available. Back to this idea- if I am understanding it correctly, this Hero's Presence aura would affect the hp and mp of low level players within a certain radius but I'm not sure how helpful that would be if it's not in combat situations. We had something at NA when titan first closed called "Help a Noob". During this mini event, max level characters were given a special skill where they could buff lower level players with basically a 10 min extra exp buff. The percent of the bonus exp scaled by level with the highest boost for players lvl 1 - 50 and the lowest percent for lvl 201+. The skill lasted for 24 hrs and max level toons got the skill whether or not they were logged in. Perhaps something like that might be a possible alternative to consider. The social credit thing is interesting. On one level I kind of dislike the concept of helping others because you will be rewarded but realistically that's how most people are generally. On the other hand, being recognized for helping (or even just being thanked) always feels good. It might be too much work to add a skill but there could also just be something here at the forum where new players could give a commendation. Maybe sending a dm to whoever and giving the details of their own account plus the name of the person they are commending and a ss of both together in the game. Then after you guys check game logs to be sure this isn't someone trying to cheat the system, the social credits could be awarded. That would also introduce the newbies to the forum itself and the guides and other useful information that is or that will be here.
  3. Totally agree with this suggestion or they could just make the Eye usable for both bourgs and artisans. I never understood why it wasn't like that anyway
  4. Weren't those hidden snipers added initially to discourage botting or something like that? Hopefully botting won't be an issue anymore and prison can go back to being a good map for farming and leveling minus those annoying guys in the walls
  5. I agree with this 100%. Too many times, polls give people the impression that every suggestion will absolutely be implemented and that's just not the case. Then we are left with the perception that the devs are not listening to the community and that is also not true at all. It's easy to make a bunch of suggestions and most are cool things or features we've seen in other games but in reality, not everything can be added to ROSE especially while it still uses such an ancient engine. Regarding feedback to ideas posted here, I think the devs will get a much better feel for how popular or useful a suggestion is from the actual comments- both pro and con.
  6. I played at those too and at NA after titan closed. Glad to see you here!
  7. I had a clan storage for years, both on NA and elsewhere. I used to list the items at my clan forum and my clannies would let me know what they wanted or what they were donating. I just made an account just for that (named ClanStorage lol)
  8. I hope they stay the same too
  9. Probably because the quest to learn to drive was such a pain lol but I do also love carts with the back seats. I think in one of the streams Lazy mentioned something about having a passenger on a mount. That would be pretty neat but it wouldn't work on all mounts since so many of them your toon just kind of hangs on the back I could see it on mounts like the reindeer tho.
  10. It would be great to be able to name the pages in storage (if we still have pages that is) and also a search function could be very useful. I guess we have to wait and see what changes are made to storage.
  11. I agree. I always had my storages pretty organized and I did like the storage system in NA. It would be nice if we could still have pages so we can do that and ofc, more pages would be great. Honestly I can't even imagine how an artisan storage would be weight-wise since stacks of mats weigh a ton
  12. Ah ok that makes sense since everything else was also in that little town. Anyway I'm not sure what other NPC's need to be added then.
  13. I agree that exploring maps is one of the best parts of any game especially this one but getting around in ROSE is painfully slow. If I remember right from the livestreams, I think they are removing mounts temporarily so we won't have that 2 week little Choropy mount to help us like we did in NA either so scrolls will be even more important. Personally I wouldn't mind if we had a scroll for every map but I feel that even if we just have the scrolls we had in NA it will be better than not having scrolls at all since I am guessing we will not have teleportation scrolls in the IM anymore
  14. From what I remember about that town in GoS, just about everything was already there so I'm not sure what else could be added except maybe access to your storage. I used to go there to refine stuff so no one would see the failures lol
  15. You mean zulie ofc but yeah I agree completely. Costumes being shared or sold is fine but you should have to earn end game gear on every character, not have one set and pass it around forever.
  16. Free or at least more obtainable would be pretty nice imo
  17. We had character bound and locked items in NA. In fact there is a whole topic devoted to this issue HERE Most players did not like the system but honestly it was created just for the reason you stated - so the game content would continue to be used instead of someone earning a set of armor or a weapon and then just passing it around to their other accounts or to their friends forever. We had unbinders that you could earn and some in the Item Mall. Locked items could not be moved but bound items could be unbound. There are a lot of detailed posts in that topic that you might find interesting. THIS topic explains some of the various terms that people who have not played at NA might not understand. Its also worth reading
  18. The pserver I played on when I first found the game many years ago had a clan house that you could buy for your clan. It might have been something you got for a month and had to renew but it's been ages and the details are kind of fuzzy now. You entered your clan house via an option when you talked to Burtland. It was indeed the Ballroom map and you had to talk to an NPC to leave or use a Junon scroll but that NPC also sold crafting materials so often artisans would go there to mass craft because there was less lag. Possibly there might have also been access to your own storage. Anyway it was a nice feature but if we will still be having the Ballroom Event, a different map would have to be used for a clan house.
  19. I always make an artisan and I love gathering items and crafting stuff. But mass crafting can be pretty tedious and this is an idea to make that a little easier. We had this on the pserver that I played and it was really convenient. Add a way to set a specific quantity to the crafting window. Then after you drag the materials over, you can click on "begin crafting" and it will just keep going until that number of items has been made. The first image is what the current crafting window looks like. The second image shows in red where that quantity box could be added. Of course you would still need to have enough materials in your inventory and enough space to hold the crafted items but it would be a lot easier especially when crafting a ton of the same item (like potions or ammo)
  20. Same here. Despite what some people think, not everyone likes pvp so dungeons and the daily quests were nice pve options
  21. It would be nice to have them on top but at least we can find them without scrolling by using the categories pull down list. PS And now that I am apparently a pumpkin here on the forum, we should have a pumpkin emoji... maybe that cowboy pumpkin with the hat.
  22. I'm looking forward to your daily challenges for my raider's costumes. Just give me some time to actually accumulate enough costume pieces first
  23. Oh I do vaguely recall that now that you mention it. Most of my memory of that stream is how the cleric had awful buffs because they didn't know charm rather than int was needed... and also Lazy not wearing actual armor and dying all the time lol Thanks for the information. Glad to know that groups will still be in the game and I hope the disconnection bug gets found and fixed.
  24. Since this is a question rather than a suggestion, I wasn't sure where to post but this section seems to fit better. Will we still have groups? They played an important role in NA and I don't recall anything about groups being discussed on any of the livestreams. For those who never played at NA, here is a brief summary of how they worked. In order to enter the que for the game arena (dungeons or pvp games) you needed to be in a group . The group leader selected the game or dungeon and all members of the group were teleported to it together. When you left the game or dungeon, you were teleported back to the same spot you started from. Groups were also used in the regular world. Experience and drops were not shared in a group but buffs were. A group could have up to 15 people (that included the group leader) and you could be in both a party and a group at the same time. Levels did not matter in a group (unlike in a party) so I would often be buffing several parties with my max level cleric. Towards the end of NA, there was a weird and very annoying bug where whole groups would suddenly be disconnected. It seemed to happen when you has more than 7 people in the group and that bug was never fixed so obviously that would be a priority if we are going to continue having groups. I know cleric buffs will not be as necessary as they were in the past, but I feel like groups could still be valuable especially for the game arena (assuming we will still have some version of that) so I really want to know if they will still be in the game.
  25. I think at least one pserver does have mining right now. It would definitely add a new dimension to the game and possibly give more value to the other planets if certain minerals or ores could only be found there. I would guess this is an idea for the future rather than the present but its interesting to think about
