Yeah we had Mama Moldies in the Valentine event at titan. Always loved how they used that frying pan as a weapon All of those female bosses in the Valentine event were a riot. I'm sure I have pics of the rest of them somewhere among my thousands of ROSE ss. I'll have to dig them up and share them here

I missed the DoD thing but we also had some stuff going on in Eucar on that last day too. 1- Finally we all got Donan's Banhammer! 2- Mama Moldies 3- Martin spawned so many Moldies that the server crashed lol 4- Death by Moss Golem Some fun stuff on that otherwise very sad day.

Great screenshots Amino! That dungeon was really something. I was shocked at how different Sean of Dawn is when I finally tried it at NA. Here are a few more from Titan. Honey and Sulky getting to lvl 200 (which was a big deal since the max level was 210) and one in LCF. A few clans pretty much ran that clanfield and this was a day when TheFinest had the big room in the middle. It was GG's birthday and they let us camp there to kill the Astarot King for the achievement. One of the guys let GG borrow his Castle Gear and take some screenshots in it. She was so happy

Well we don't know what, if anything , will be changed but the long quest (Episode or Hero quest) gives several good items including a mask with 30 base charm as a stat. Since charm is needed for strong buffs, that mask is pretty important for anyone who will be activating their self buffs. Generally the killing quests are good because they give exp for completing the quest and they are repeatable. You'll be killing monsters anyway so why not get that extra exp? There is a questline in Anima Lake that rewards with a decent set of armor for your job class and actually, if you take the quests in Valley of Luxem Tower when you first get to that map, you can earn a good set of gear for your job class. For anyone who has not played at NA while it was still open, my best advice is to talk to every NPC and take any quests they offer. They are pretty much all worth doing imo.

I’m not a fan of polls in topics or suggestions so I did not “vote” in this one but I did want to give my 2 cents on the never-ending subject of the muse/cleric buffs. Most of us have played ROSE for many years and we got used to things being a certain way. This is especially true of iROSE players but in this case, it applies to Evo players too. Just because something was always a certain way does not mean it should be that way forever or that it should have ever been that way in the first place. Playing ROSE has always meant needing buffs. Some of us made our own clerics to accomplish that while others went on the search for a buffer every time they played. Imo the game has always been too dependent on buffs and although I will miss giving new players the flashy buffs my cleric had at NA, I think this change is necessary for the health of the game itself. At NA my max level cleric had a total of 1306 charm (425 from the stat plus equipment, clan passive and gems). Her buffs were indeed godly but if you look at that objectively, it’s totally insane and I can think of no situation where that should be considered normal or ok. I’m fortunate to be one of the alpha testers and I have been dual clienting with my muse and hawker the same way I did on every ROSE server I’ve played at. It’s definitely different but it honestly has been just fine. Sometimes I’ve been able to party up with another tester and having those extra buffs was nice but I’ve done ok the rest of the time when I am playing solo. I didn't need to make the muse for the buffs but the first time around I had just made the hawker and after the alpha wipe, I wanted to try dual clienting since that fits my usual playing style. I guess my point is that you should go into it with an open mind. You will see for yourself that it's doable as a solo muse or in a dual client situation. Honestly I think the Evo players will struggle more with the slower speed of leveling now since there are no costume exp bonuses, exp medals, clan passive exp boosts or premium account boosts but even that is fine once you adjust to the difference. Evo has always meant change and that's what makes it exciting. This is just one more change and nothing to fear or worry about.

Yeah I agree. So far at least the quests are still giving the same rewards and they are definitely worth doing.

Since we will have both returning ROSE players and brand new players when the game launches, it might be a good idea to have some sort of notification if you attempt to leave Adv Plain before you have at least been informed that you can choose a job at level 10. The questline that starts with Arua's Fairy is clear and easy to follow and people who do the quests will have no problem but not everyone likes quests and not everyone talks to every NPC (like I do in a new game). It's probably in a tool tip but honestly when you're concentrating on playing, it's easy to miss the tooltips. Something like when the Fairy talks to you during the Hero Quest is more like what I have in mind. Those messages really get your attention and you are forced to respond before you can get back to actually playing.

Well one thing you might be happy about- there is no more job quest for the first job anymore. You are directed by Arua's Fairy in Adv Plains to talk to one of the NPC's in that little seaside village and following that questline will take you thru Adv Plains and you will end up around level 9 at the end. Then you are sent to the Trainer's Village and as soon as you enter, you are instantly raised to level 10. Then it's just a matter of talking to all of the NPC's and hearing what each job class is about then picking the one you want. You could also just level yourself without taking the quests tho you get exp and a weapon and some other things from the questline so it's worth doing

I love the idea of more customization too. I am a huge fan of dressing up (as my clannies can confirm lol) One possible reason why there are not more skin color options is the fact that armor and costume pieces also include the parts of the body they cover. For example, a shoe is not only the shoe but also the legs. That would not be a such big deal with armor because there is a limited number of sets but NA had literally thousands of different costume parts from the Item Mall and making different color skin options for all of those is probably more than this small team can handle, at least right now. Still it's certainly something that would be nice to have in the future if it's possible

The old official website had a brief explanation of the four job classes and what each job class could evolve into with the second job. I would imagine the new website will have something like that too. But detailed instructions on what the second job quests require is more like something that would be on the wiki. We will also most likely have information like that in the Newbie Zone which will hopefully be added to the forum when the game actually launches.

We are all looking forward to making new memories when ROSE reopens but sometimes it's nice to also look back and remember too. So here are just a few of my many NA screenshots. 1- OT before the level restriction. We had friends from titan who were also playing at NA and one of them took us to OT to help us level by doing some quest. It did not go well lol. I found out much later that it was a bug that we were able to do that quest at all. 2- Everyone's favorite- Choropy Mount 3- Graduation Day - man that quest was tough at lower levels lol 4- Somehow I always ended up in some weird place - this time it was in a tree 5- The good old days when you could have a full group and not get disconnected. I spent a lot of time like this, buffing multiple parties at Kenji or on Luna 6- Proudly chillin in Junon with Deku Masks and Bulldog mounts- loved both of those so much! 7- Saying a tearful farewell to Draconis 8- The aftermath of the server merge. It was possible to have toons on both Leonis and Draconis with the same names but obviously after the merge only one could keep the name so you had to do a name change on one if there were duplicates. Took awhile to sort that out 9- Look across the street in this ss. Remember those Premium Shop guys? They went on a permanent "vacation" when the dupers started taking over the game. They would still sometimes appear right after a maintenance and people would rush to use their Premium Points before the NPC's were poofed again. 10- Camping out in Sunshine Coast during the Summer Festival, endlessly repeating the Scavenger Hunt in the hopes of getting a Summer Backpack 11- Who could forget those Reindeer Mounts and the quest in Goblin Cave to get them 12- And finally the last minutes of NA I remember just staring at the screen for some time, still not believing it had actually happened It was sure a fun ride. Looking forward to the next chapter of this wonderful game

Sorry for triggering your OCD. I was just happy I could go to these events without lagging out. Between all of the characters in the same place, the many drops and the attack animations, it was really something indescribable. A lot of fun tho

I hope so too- maybe not right away since we will all be weak and low level, but at some point it would be fun to have events like these again. Hide and Seek was another staff-sponsored event that we used to have. When the ROSE CM did a livestream, sometimes it would include a few rounds of hide-n seek. Those are always fun, figuring out their location based on the clues.

I really like this idea. Players love having something special and the relaunch of ROSE certainly falls into that category. I've never played Runescape but when titan first launched, anyone who was a pre-donator (we donated before there was a game server) received several items including a titan t-shirt, It was pink on females and navy blue on males. When NA did the big database update in June 2014, the game was down for several days. When it came back, we all found an "I Survived" t-shirt when we logged in again. I'm sure changing the front of the I Survived t-shirt to something related to the relaunch would not be difficult to do and it would be a really neat souvenir for those of us who are lifetime ROSE fanatics to remember the day when our beloved game returned.

I dug up some ss of various superboss events and thought I would share them. When Titan closed in 2014 and we went to NA, these superboss events used to be in the back of Junon Polis, near the docks. The lag was indescribable. I don't have any ss of those (because I avoided them since I always just died). When I was max level (230 at the time), it was better Then they started moving these events to different maps. Back then, these bosses dropped a number of items then they started also dropping Super Shiny Essences. This item went directly into your inventory and could not be traded but the items you exchanged them for (lisents and a couple of costumes) could be traded or sold so people would log in a bunch of low level toons to get those essences, which added to the lag lol. Ironically one of the last updates at NA added a new map called Garden of Aru. It was supposed to be for events like Superboss but I only recall it being used maybe once and I could not find a ss of that. Anyway here are some of the laggy but fun superboss events.
