  1. Someone was doing a valor quest farm lol I know that run ... intimately.
  2. This topic requires so much more than simple anecdotes and short replies. There's more than 2 sides of the discussion, lots of middle ground, and even more uncertainty due to the simple fact, we don't have our hands on it. Can I see a ROSE where Clerics don't give offensive buffs, and are still a vital supportive class in the game? Obviously yes. Do I have a personal bias? Sure, I think buffs are in a borish state that require little upkeep and are uninspiring flat stat gains. BUT, people like getting stronger. >>I<< like getting stronger. I'll stop before I get too into the thick of the weeds here but, suffice to say; patience and communication will win the day. Keep calm, level headed and represent yourself well. Explain your position and experience once we've seen or had some hands on with the changes.
  3. As the title says, what's your favorite way to play ROSE? I made the votes private, so feel free to vote without feeling self conscious. It's also multiple choice, so if you have more than one or a combination, you can select any that apply. I'm more-so interested in what people actually DO in ROSE, as such, please don't create alternative Forum accounts to inflate the numbers [Though I honestly doubt that's a problem]. Have a good day~ Vile
  4. I don't think that's a issue anymore, but if you could explain it in further detail I could most likely tell you for certain if that's a problem.

    Guess I Should

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the nice words and hope I can provide useful and helpful information to allow the game to thrive.
  6. So far we have: Either Stack Size 9,999 or "Enchanted Arrow" that never runs out. Ammo weight set to 0. And Costume slot for ammo. Pro's: Stack Size: Saves inventory space. Enchanted Arrow: One and done forever / removes ammo from the game as an item to work for. Ammo weight set to 0 no longer encumbers your movement when preparing for a long grinding session. Costume ammunition: all the benefits of physical / elemental arrows, with the style you want. Con's: Universal: Needs to be coded. Stack Size: Can't really think of one. Enchanted Arrow: One and done forever / removes ammo from the game as an item to work for. Ammo weight set to 0 removes weight consideration / limitation meaning moving bulk amount of items off hacked/compromised accounts is easier, in addition to over loading vendors no longer encumbers them requiring time to place all shops [?] Costume Ammunition: Can no longer identify which element opponent is using in PvP, making reactively changing chest pieces at respawn void [only works in TG/JC ~ an unsupported rewardless activity for fun] Additional Notes: I made the vast majority of my zulie late-game / near ROSE's end of life from Ammunition sales. It took a HUGE amount of effort, to legitimately restock and keep supplied a stack of ammo crates for every elements, and BiS physical quality arrows and genuinely kept me busy for hours. This is to say, ammunition Artisans are not as "unemployed" as you might think. Consequently, you have to keep in mind that ROSE NA has the elemental affinity system, meaning Lightning arrows weren't just cool arrows that did a little more damage. Most elemental arrows did the same damage prior to the elemental check in the damage formula. Meanwhile Physical Arrows [Bone, Wooden, Serrated etc] actually did change your damage. The kicker is that this meant you had EXTREME amounts of flexibility with Ammunition based jobs. You could keep your weapon neutral element [none] and swap for elemental arrows when needed [since the ammo is the final "check" of what type of elemental damage if any, the attack does] OR to save on expensive ammo [I did this first until I could afford one of each weapon type] and Enchant the weapon with the "expensive element" [It was wind cause storm arrows take forever to grind and craft] and carry a good variety of ammo to swap between. [If your weapon was enchanted and you used neutral arrows btw, the shots were still elemental] This meant using ironically the Valentines day event Heart Arrows with element on the weapon, resulted in the highest potential elemental damage; since Heart Arrows had the highest quality. As you can see, Ammo is complex and provides a lot of options for customization and economy. Personally, I would like the simplest of fixes. Change the Stack Size to 9,999. Set Weight to 0 OR make the Ammo Dispensers [crafted boxes of ammo] weight 0. Lastly, I'm middle of the road for the cosmetic / costume arrow option. Personally, I like it but PvPers won't, and this isn't a game only I would be playing. Cheers- 「Vile」
  7. First thing I gotta do is dabble around with any changes or new stat/skill point caps, and get an idea of what I'll be able to do in terms of solo challenges, speed runs, etc. After that, it'll just be a nice slow burn I suppose.
  8. Yeah where you highlighted is where they removed the second gate. Just do the opposite, put the gate back, then remove the gate where 3/4 are. It's funny though cause if you look at the top of the map, you can clearly see where they intended to have 3 paths north. I would wager 1 to El Verloon, second to Anima, and third to Junon. I'm not too sure exactly why it was dropped, but I suspect it would have been TOO convenient.
  9. The Valley of Luxem Tower gate is actually defunct, you could swap the middle gate [the current active one] with the southern one, and that would extend the distance between gates, but that still doesn't incentivize people to go to the town, or level on the map. We do need to keep in mind, only Junon will be available at first, and there's no telling what culmination of changes will take place, and how that affects preferential maps. I will say, I was thinking about this, and IF Dolphin Island can be made more of an active pursuit, Making a dock with a ferryman teleporter to the Island located at Breezy's Beach, could produce some through traffic.
  10. As much as I enjoy Breezy [and it is genuinely one of my top favorite 5 maps] I don't like the idea of making a change simply to force a longer route or inconvenience people. I would like people to enjoy the map more absolutely, but wasting peoples time is never the answer. Especially those who are looking to save money on scrolls by manually running.
  11. The drop tables were already given that treatment, however, there are a LOT of materials these days. If anything, the crafting recipes could be reworked to require a little less variety, but that comes at the cost of losing complexity within the market and econ so eh?
  12. It is better to fail with pride and integrity, then fail flailing about like a wretch.
  13. I'd really rather we fixed the issues that cause dead maps, than* put bots in them, that no one will see.
  14. Some of the newer off-hands/shields didn't have a visible gem effect for a short while, it was corrected in patches.
  15. It's because they're only going to launch the game with Junon at the start, Sikuku Underground Prison being located on Eldeon would mean we don't have access to it immediately.
  16. Please add a Decloak to Artisan's tree. Bourgeoise has a 2nd job specific Eye summon that spam casts Decloak, Artisan is the only class in the game without a way to remove hidden enemies from stealth, including PvE. It actually causes legitimate problems and annoyances that aren't necessary.
  17. Yeah, the invisible Crossbow Sikuku mobs were there to discourage botting, but all it did was force them to put Decloak in their bot rotation, and once in a while clear them out with a range attack. It was however EXTREMELY IRRITATING being an Artisan because they were the ONLY CLASS without a Decloak. Speaking of which, I have a thread to go make.
  18. I gotta say, Artisans do win because they're the only class that can be built for Combat, Farming, AND Econ. Just takes the cake as a general purpose job, even if it* has MASSIVE issues with survivability.
  19. Can I make a request? You should also be able to "mark" a shop client side, so you know which one to return to. For example, say I'm digging through Junon's shops looking for a good value material. I find one like 5 shops in, but want to shop more to make sure there isn't a better deal. Should be able to mark a shop with a star or something, "favorite" it, so I can return to the right one, if it was the best deal. In short All shops unviewed, normal BG. Shops once viewed: greyscale background. Shops favorited: gold star or some symbol on shop bar.
  20. There is no future in nostalgia servers. They are solved, beaten games and while a trip down memory lane is nice, the charm wears off quickly and you remember the flaws it had. Then one of two things happen, they get updates to solve problems but making them no longer original content. Or they stay the same and have a dismal population since nothing ever changes on it. I vote no. All effort now and future should be on making the best version possible, and not dividing those resources and funding to something that is by all accounts, a doomed venture.
  21. If T4 and T7 is your most recent take on Clerics you might be a few patches behind, no offense lol.
  22. I meant would it be limited to Crafted gear, Vendor Gear, Uniques, Mounts, CG's, etc. What, and what tier, would be loaned.
  23. Would there be restrictions in what types of items could be loaned.
  24. I believe it was DoD and Gorge of Silence that were previously IM, then Gorge was changed [I think] cause you could buy it from the little town they added. I would like scrolls to stay roughly as they were. IM Teleport tickets were a nice QoL upgrade seeing as you only needed 1 inventory slot instead of 10-15, as well as had every map, not just a select few.
  25. My lord I have been playing too much FFXIV Lmfao, yes I meant Zulie.
