  3. Im also interested in the question how will level /gameplay progress be for the players who doesn't find friends or other players to party up with? Many years ago, I played with a couple of friends who always logged in the same time and we kept our progress / levels etc the same - always with the cleric as buffer. I don't know how fun it will be to run around playing solo without having a cleric to buff you.
  4. Im not sure what I'm thinking about the changes. I understand them in some ways. Like its good that players should play together, buff eachothers with all classes etc. But what about if you are playing on your own? If you don't have anyone to play with? If I'm leveling my hawker for example, how many buffs will I get on my own? Will the progress be super-slow comparing to if I had like 4 party members of different classes to buff eachothers? ROSE is all about Nostalgia for me, and with the Nostalgia comes the Clerics buffs, so I don't know - I hope for the best!

Its a hard balance, I like the idea that getting into max level should be something really special - It should take time and not everyone should be able to do it if you doesn't put a lot of effort. Tho.. getting into max level shouldn't just be to spend hours after hours after hours grinding monsters. There needs to be much more quests, missions, events, bosses, dungeons which is easy to find and that follows up nice, so you doesn't end up just grinding and grinding monsters for exp, this will make new players quit. Also, with the potentioal cleric changes, how will the level progression goes if you play weird times and doesn't find party members.. if you are on your own, will it takes forever to kill monsters?
  8. Good idea! Everything that makes players come together and play together towards a common goal is good imo Would love planned events & randomly events. And would like to avoid having events the same days & times, if you have activities within these times and can't join events - its really sad.

  11. I like battle-passes in games. But for me, to spend real money on a game - it really has to be something special. I enjoy battle-passes where you have to login to the game everyday to reach the special item/reward in the end of the month of the last day. (Of course if you can't login one day - the process will just be delayed) And battle-passes when you need to do some things to earn progress, example include the starting zones to make people return. Some things that attracts me: Time-limited skins -Skins that is just on sale for a period of time - then won't be able to buy again - for me this higher the value. For example skins at the release of the game, the first week - that won't come back ever again. Items that give benefits in the game, which isn't pay2win. -A pet that pick up your stuff. -Higher slots in your inventory. -Dye-items that change the dye of your armor weapon to make it unique. Really awesome good looking skins overall. -I prefer fewer but better looking skins in a item-mall, rather than skins every week that are nothing special.

      I look forward to having more in game, right now there the Dev team and the Alpha testers in game, but we all are testing to make sure all is working correctly and they are fixing bugs like crazy.

  13. I just love the screenshots in zant & aqua lake!!! the screenshot at aqua king is absolutely amazing please share more from early levels where you see high populated areas!
  14. I get your point. that it can be frustrated to run through all shops on all planets to find what you are looking for. But for me ROSE is all about this, it doesn't have to go fast, it doesn't have to success all times. I found it really peacfully to go around from shop to shop and see what I could find. The issues about shops, atleast IMO on previous servers is that one day people will have shops on all planets. When the game is new, the shops will be in Adv-plains, Zant & Junon - I'm really looking forward to this. Other games have auction houses - its fast & effective - but I woulnd't enjoy that in ROSE. I hope they fix so you doesn't have to have your computer/be logged in to have your shop open tho.
  15. I didn't know that when I posted, but now I'm aware of the changes. Lets see if they stick to their plan or make it as it used to be- to be continued I guess if clerics wont have that affect on buffs, I will focus on a Knight asap & my friend artisan/bourg.

  17. I love the idea of players helping cities grow as a community. For example, the devs adding a new NPC or a Quest/Event/information board close to a familar NPC with following information. Examples: -The city is in danger, to improve the security and wellbeing of Zant, we need your help. To fortify the walls of the city, the major need 50.000 zulies, everything you can donate to help us, will help our city! -Listen up dear Rosealians! To improve the health and wellness of our beloved city Junon Polis, we need your help! The council of Junon Polis wants to improve the clan-field, but we lack alot of zulies to do so, please contribute with everything you can. Both these examples, being followed up with a "zulie-meter" showing how much the players have donated together and how much is left for the goal. When the last zulie has been donated, The sign will turn green, and you cannot donate any more zulie. All players will recieve a message ingame that they have gathered and donated the money the major asked for. This creats a feeling of being a community, players who fight & help eachother & the game itself. The 2nd idea I posted, regarding "freshing up the clan field" can be something actual ingame. The devs are thinking of adding something to the game, and to see if there is any interest in this, see if people donate towards the goal. Even if its just a statue of something, or changing the colors of the defence-fences, or upgrading the whole city - it makes you being a part of a community. The same as live-events, when areas or cities getting attacked and its up to the players to defend it
  18. I like the idea of season-skins/ skins that pops up for a limited time. I would love a skin-set that would be called something like "Back to Rose" that is open for purchase the 1st week of release - and then disappearing from the shop for good. I see that some people mentioning "lucky spins" regarding buying skins. Im not a big fan of this. Another PC game I played had this, and I had friends who put in alot of money 100-300 USD just to get 1-2 skins and didn't get them - good money for the company.. but not the right way imo. When I spend money on a game, I want to know what Im recieving - thats the way for me to spend my money.
  19. Good point, still for people(like me) who doesn't have a clan at the moment - would it be nice to have somewhere to post about yourself. Example, who am I and what kind of clan am I looking for in - "Looking for clan" And the clans that doesn't want to be published becuase of 'as you said' someone can steal the name etc, they just dont have to create a thread in the forums - until they have created the clan I think the opportunity for searching for clan & searching for members should be here on the forums - and its up the players & clans if they want to use it.
  20. This depends on the changes to the Cleric(regarding buffs) My main goal have always been to make the cleric as high level & INT as possible for the buffs. I don't like to rush things, so probably something like this. 1. Already have a Clan when the game is released, have a member roster & know which players you will play together with. 2. Create a character with one of my friends who I will play together with when we can, these characters will only level when we both are online. 3. Create a cleric that both me & my friend have access to, and create my 2nd main that I can level when my friend is offline. 4. Focus on getting as much Zulie as possible towards the creation of the clan. 5. Doing quests(!) I don't remember myself doing alot of quests when I played back in the days. 6. Helping new players, both ingame & at forums. 7. Posting videos on youtube & instagram of the game, hopefully recruit some friends & other people to the game. Enjoy the game in a slow phase & make new friends and of course kill some Jelly Beans on the way!

I would say the Youtube channels out there for MMOs(example TheLazyPeon, MMObyte) I don't think channels like this would need payment to do some advertising about an oldschool MMO coming back, as it is in their interest to post vidos about MMO's. I'm not that into social medias, but I guess TikTok is a good spot to focus on kids that would probably like the game. Also(if possible) send out message to everyone that is following the Rose page on facebook(alot of people have probably hide the site or forgot about it) Even sending out emails to old players to the games/forums if possible. I would say social medias, facebook, youtube & Reddit. Lets not forget that its an old game, and kids/teenagers have other standars towards MMOs today than we had.
  22. This sounds great. I don't remember that I did many quests at all when I was playing back in the days. I remember 1st & 2nd job quest, quest for the car & some event quest. Even a main quest where you could earn good rewards such as hearts etc. I think the game should have more quests, clear path & easy instructions. Wouldn't mind putting out new NPC's at more locations where you will end up sooner or later. For example putting a NPC at the Aqua King spot, who can give you a couple of quests.
