  1. Unfortunately I'm not able to be a monthly subscriber at the time being, so I'll have to wait to read that
  2. Welcome! And I know that feeling. I once had a, moment let's call it, where I cried when I heard the game music
  3. Birth Island was the best place in the game though. I remember back in RuFF, we ran an event where you had to get as high level as possible without leaving Birth Island during a certain amount of time. A GM placed a shop with some basic stuff to make it even possible and after that we all just went at it. It was, to this day, one of the most fun events I've ever done. Fighting Choropies and Jellybeans until you get those low-level rare items was great! The OG version is by far my favourite. But the 2nd version of your options is similar enough to be okay. I never liked the other two at all, but I'm a creature of habit so sue me
  4. I've seen other servers with this and I think it's a great way to accomodate for a lot of different players. It's a lot of upkeep however, assuming you want to keep both games updated, since they're essentially two different games.
  5. I never had an issue with getting the materials for the Butterfly Wings, and it was usually one of the first things I went for. What is the reason you say it needs to be more acquirable for low level players. I personally found it the opposite. It was easy, and took little time, to farm for materials and craft yourself. But when I was level 100+ if I wanted them for my collection I had to buy them from a low level player, which also was a good source of income in the beginning of the game. I think I'm just a bit confused by this statement. ---- I too, am against features that give premium users large advantages, but I'm pretty sure they've already said they don't want that so I don't think that would be a problem. They want premium features to be cosmetic/slight advantages unless I misunderstood the FAQ The ROSE drop system (the one you mentioned further up) is probably my favourite drop system out of all I've played with. It was easy, you look at a mobs world/area table, you look up their drop table on the wiki and you look at the name of their color (which was based on your level), the higher the level difference, the higher the chance of a good drop table loot. It's so simple and intuitive. I also believe that removing the materials level connection will negatively impact new players. Playing as a new player and getting hundreds of furs from woopies was a way to make money in the beginning, by selling it to higher level artisans in Zant who needed it for crafting. Removing this rather important economy feature would have negative effects on the money making opportunities for new players.
  6. I couldn't find any thread about it yet, so I wanted to put it out here. A lot of us who are here, and who will be playing the game (at least at first) are returning players with very well-established names throughout the ROSE Online communities. I know other servers I have started from beginning where they let each person reserve one name for when the game started. So that more known names wouldn't be sniped by people just messing around. Any plans on something like that here? I've personally used the same name on every server I've played, I have dead-old forum signatures dating back from 2007 with this name, etc. I would be quite sad if I lost it, tbh.
  7. If we assume OG classes (not the Cleric changes for example) I'd make 1x Cleric, 1x Bourg (B3 farmer) and 1x Raider.
  8. Late addition, but I agree with above. I just joined the forum and read the FAQ, this greatly stood out. The storage weren't very broken to begin with, and I don't think they need a fix. Maybe some QoL changes, but that's it. My B3 farmer had a massive storage over all different tabs with all kinds of stuff I gathered and saved on that account. Removing tabs, making it endless and adding it based on weight seems like a great way to force people to make multiple accounts for easy storage keeping. To me it doesn't feel like the way you (we) want things to go, but the opposite.
  9. Wouldn't leaving Clerics the way they were (old school f/s buffers) and add class boosts for single player characters be what everyone wants? If you want to play solo - you have your class buffs. If you want to play in team, one can be a f/s, one could be not (just make sure the buffs don't stack), and if you want to do multi-client you can do that too. That way literally everyone can get basic buffs for themselves, and are still encouraged to play in teams at higher levels.
  10. Name Jackie, Wondertje Preferred name to call you Jackie Gender/country/age Female, Sweden, 31 When did you start playing Rose Online? 2006 Who introduce you to Rose/ What brought you to Rose? Ex-boyfriend What do you like the most from Rose Online? The fact that the community made the game feel like home What's your favorite class to play? (and why) My favourite supporting class was always Cleric. I loved running around buffing people even when I was but a smol wee muse. My favourite main class is Bourg. Specifically, I had a B3 bourg that I spent hours and hours on perfecting and farming B3. Was fun, I love the map and I made tons of money - I had nothing to lose. How did you discover Rose Online for the first time ? Ex-boyfriend said hey cool game, I said sure. We broke up and I kept outleveling him so I won ROSE in the break-up. Best win of my life. Share your favorite memories from Rose Online! Oh lord, there are so many memories. One memory I'm very fond of is the fact that even though drama was a big thing back in the day, people still somehow always got together when it really mattered and was needed. I remember farming for all the rares and uniques to create a collection: I spent hours and hours on Grunter King. Favorite monster Candle Ghost Favorite places in Rose Online Behind the waterfall, The original Adventurer's Plains but most importantly B3. Things you hate the most in Rose I don't really hate anything in the game, it was all QoL stuff that frustrated me. The market inflation was a big bummer, but I was (and am still) a player that mostly tries to be self-sufficient, so it wasn't a huge problem. Anything you want to say? I can't believe this is happening, but I am beyond stoked to see it!
