  1. As far as we're aware their idea is that each class has a buff to give to themselves and others, so a full 8-person party of different classes will all have full buffs. ------ Will it change from cleric to artisan? My opinion? Yes, definitely. Not so much in the intention of the artisan itself, it can still do other things. But for the solo player it 100% simply shifts the attention. With buff pots from artisan being the only somewhat reliable source for a solo player their options will now be (and I've inserted cleric to show the similarities with the old situation): A) Make their own artisan - Same as dual clienting cleric and having a buff slave just shifted to crafting one specific item B) Rely on other artisans to want to do it for you - Same as having to rely on finding a cleric to play with you C) Rely on the economy and the possibility of other artisans selling it on the market, which isn't a guarantee - Same as having to find a cleric willing to sell their buffs, which was never a guarantee but happened regularly The change isn't going to change the way buffs are ultimately distributed to the players. If anything, I'm pretty sure we will see a decline in the amount of clerics that are being played. The only reason it changes is because we're now placing the buff meta on to two different things: very large parties, or artisans. And because artisans can do other things as well, no one cares because "you still have options to do other things". Meanwhile not much has changed for solo players, other than making it more cumbersome to get buffs in the first place. I think the end result is going to be fewer clerics and more afk crafting artisans that don't actually play the game other than crafting. In other news, no real change to the "omg but people look online but are afk and it ruins the MMORPG aspect" that people keep complaining about.
  2. I think removing (or not adding/having) low level dungeons would be more detrimental than anything. I personally feel that dungeons should a) be spread across the planets generally even, some in all areas of level range and b) they should be instanced & scale with level in terms of difficulty and rewards. With proper rewards and balancing there can therefor be a natural dispersion of players of all levels across all or at least many maps. It would benefit everyone at the end of the day, and like previously mentioned by Avatar and Zeror it would break the repetition of constantly doing the same thing to level.
  3. They very specifically said they have not played NA ('the version that this version is based on').
  4. Because not everyone has the ability to play with an 8-person party to get access to all the buffs in a fair manner.
  5. They're not planning on having multiple channels as far as they've said.
  6. The duelling system I knew, you requested to duel someone, just like the trading skill. And then both people added an amount and chose a best out of x number, the money was deducted from both players and then added back to whoever won automatically. So it was all 'safe' in terms of how the money was handled by the server. The main issue with that system was that it could be used to dupe zulie through various means of manipulation / logging / disconnects, etc. So the solution was technically safe, just not well implemented, lol.
  7. They're ghosts.. they're not of physical property and can't (or in my opinion at least shouldn't be able to) wield physical weapons. Their power lies in some kind if magical attack, so if anything they should 'wield'/have some cool strong aura around them or something.
  8. Didn't Rebus say, several times, that buff potions are sold at an NPC? EDIT: I've tried to find it somewhere, also on Discord but I can't find it right now and I'm a bit stressed so can't deep-dive. @RebusI'm sorry if I'm lying about you
  9. Candle Ghosts are my favourite mob, I agree with this and they get my vote too!
  10. This sounds basically like local area quest boards to me, but with NPCs. Short/Repeatable/Daily/Local quests are always neat and could bring diversity to an otherwise repetitive task. But I don't think it has to be as rigid as one NPC per area preparing you for the next area, etc. We can simply place quest boards in relevant areas, such as Zant, Junon, <insert more places here>. A lot of other servers already do this, it's not new or novel - but it works for the most part.
  11. So basically New Game+ for quests. Unless the quests somehow change, I don't think a lot of people are going to redo most quest for an extra 50% or whatever the max S+ rank is. I could see it as a nifty completionist thing though, so it's not bad per se.
  12. For what it's worth I was the one mentioning the details of this idea (specifically the betting part and NPC area restrictions) on Discord before it was posted here, and I did mention I got it from another server. Avery here just didn't include that part when posting it here.
  13. Are you honestly of the opinion that if it's been seen on a different server it's not a valid suggestion? Because that's what it sounds like you're saying. Also, I think the duelling feature was removed from titan because it suffered from an exploit where zulie could be duped through it. But I could be completely wrong, that was a very long time ago.
  14. They're already removing offensive buffs from clerics so unfortunately we won't be able to make any real support clerics other than heal slaves (which may or may not be useless unless they change them from how they were during the stress test).
