  1. The Many Changes of Adventurer's Plains If there is one zone in the game of ROSE Online which has been changed a lot then it is no doubt the Adventurer's Plains. The first version was introduced with iRose. We started on Birth Island first after a few levels we could go to Adventurer's Plains. The second version didn't stay long (can't remember when this version came). Then a totally new map was introduced ROSE Online Evolution released. This was the biggest version of Adventurer's Plains. At least it felt like that to me. A more compact version of the third version. Which version of Adventurer's Plains was your favorite? And why? --- I personally prefer the second one. I find two entrances to Valley not that useful. Especially on the newer maps it's unnecessary to have two entrances to Valley next to each other. The only thing i didn't like of the second map is the location of Goblin Cave. At the waterfalls like from the first map was better.
  2. Dropping the restriction on those level ranges is quite a big deal for the game, cause some rare to find stuff might not be as rare anymore and thus it might alter the economy of the game completely. But i don't think that's a bad thing. For example the materials for Butterfly Wings. All of them are gotten from low level monsters, but as a high level player you can't get it that easy other then trading. Dropping the level range on the drops makes Butterfly Wings much better acquirable for low level players, as it should be.
  3. From the start of iRose i really like Rose for the game it is, but wandering through the zones kept me questioning one thing. How does these monsters fit in the scenery? Where are they coming from? So i had this idea for a long time to do something with that by giving the player new locations that explains that a bit more of the monsters origins in the form of dungeons. The first dungeon you find when playing is Goblin Cave. You can go there on level 40+ or something. In my opinion that quite a bit late for the first dungeon to appear. So why not adding more dungeons, whether it's a big or small experience. Cause it doesn't always have to be large places with 3 or more different floors etc.. Even a cave, fortress with a single room or a bunch of rooms is enough already. In some cases it doesn't even have to be an indoor place as it can be a specialized outdoor location as well. Also these locations are the perfect place to have as the only place (or few places) where the King of the enemy family spawns. To give a couple of examples: The woopie enemies around Zant are about cooking. So why not have a Woopie Butchery where the Woopie King lives. Or Porkies and Grunters. They have serious weaponry and armor, but no fortress to defend. So why not give 'm a fortress. Or add one or two ice caverns on Luna with more of the magical beasts inside. These things really adds to the immersiveness of the game. And it fits the story as well and makes the zones looking more meaningful too.
  4. Not only that. All those shops cluttering the environment takes away the immersiveness of the game too. But i get that those shops belong to the game. So why not adding extra rules or conditions for the shops. Like: You can still be attacked by creatures when putting up a vending shop. So you might wanna choose a save spot. Even if you are a lvl 200+ in Adventure Plains. You have to get a shop license for each planet. Junon is given for free, but you need to buy a license for Luna, Eldeon, Oro etc.. It might involve doing a questline too. 3% zulie tax is added on each sale. Some places are tax free for shop encouragement (like the center square in Junon Polis). Other places are restricted to place shops (besides close to NPC's). There should be an offline mode for shops. However when starting the vending shop you have to choose for how long you want to vend. I would say you could choose between 2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, 24 hours or 48 hours. You can quit vending at any time, but you can't vend longer then the chosen time.
  5. Name: Zeror Preferred name to call you: Zeror Gender/country/age: Male / Netherlands / 36 When did you start playing Rose Online? Januari 2005 (start of iRose beta) Who introduce you to Rose/ What brought you to Rose? Dutch Tech/IT forum topic What do you like the most from Rose Online? The simplicity and friendly appearance. What's your favorite class to play? (and why) Scout, cause I like Archers How did you discover Rose Online for the first time? See question 5. Share your favorite memories from Rose Online! In iRose visiting Junon Polis for the first time. The city was totally empty. No vending shops at all, cause nearly no one was that far in leveling at that point. Favorite monster: Grunter family Favorite places in Rose Online: The first iteration of Adventure Plains (I really dislike the later ones). Things you hate the most in Rose: Two things: At first the lack of dungeons. I would like to see more dungeon experiences along the way. Goblins Cave is the first one, which is pretty late if you ask me. Second the vending shops in general, causes for way too much cluttering in the gameworld. Takes away the immersiveness. Would rather see an auction house like most modern MMO's has. Anything you want to say? When can i start playing?!
