What would you like see in ROSE if it were developed in UE5?

Here is one fun discussion:
What would you like see in ROSE if it were developed in Unreal Engine 5?

I think most of know by now that the current engine is pretty outdated and the Rednim devteam is really hard at work to make the best out of it 😍. But what if the game was build from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5 or similar engine and we have access to all the new gizmo's and stuff that modern games has.

What would you like to see added or changed to the game?

Density.
The worlds very much are missing a lot of things to bring it more to life. Grass is a good example.

Don't even need to change the art style of the current grass, just add a bit more and maybe a swaying effect from simulated wind or something.

Outside of that, just want more content, classes and things to collect. All things that don't really necessitate an engine upgrade so yea. Just want the world to be more densely filled with things that give it character and what not.

I would like to see seamless planets where all zones are just one big map with regions. Without loading screens between them. Some maps needs to be altered to make this happen, but that is not a bad thing as it gives also the opportunity to make more content in what are now gaps between the maps.

@lazypenguinΒ water physics with swimming ofcourse.

Shops being a tiered ownership mechanic with possible offline-sales and limits on sale types could be an interesting idea that could clear the streets of Junon Polis of the mess of shops while encouraging artisans to specialize on particular items. A couple examples:

  • Market Rug: Need to be online, no investment in rug, small capacity.
  • Street cart: Need to be online, small investment in the cart, small capacity and/or limited to food/small item sales.
  • Vending machine: Can be offline, larger investment in the machine and maintenance, limited to smaller items, can't buy items from players.
  • Storefront: Need to be online, large investment in the property and maintenance, no limit on item type, capacity limited by the location leased.

Cool idea, but not something a different engine would require. I think this can be done in the current engine as well. Maybe post this to the ideas section and see what others think of it.
