  1. I dislike the usage of the symbols, because it's very limited. There are not that much symbols you can use. And having each command start with a forward slash "/" is much better understandable too.
  2. I would go even further. I would overhaul the whole chat window. The chat system is very limited and could much more flexible. First of all. Ditch the special symbols to enter the different chat channels. The $ for Trade, @ for Clan, # for Party, " for Whisper and ~ for Group. Use the following instead and add some new chat methods like. Typing /<channel> not followed with text switches you to that channel. Typing /<channel> (<username>) <message> send a message. /s or /say tochatting (speech bubble) and your message is visible in a low range. NEW: Add General Zone Chat channel. /g, /general or /1 for general chatting acros the whole zone. /t, /trade or /2 for Trade channel for trading. Trade channel is only active in Zant, Junon Polis, Eucar, Xita Refuge and Heliopolis and are linked as well. NEW: Add Looking for Group channel. /lfg or /3 for Looking for Group chat channel. /p or /party for Party channel. Obviously on visible by other party members. /c or /clan for Clan channel. Only visible by clan. /cm or /clanmaster for Clan Master channel. Only visible by clan master and deputy's. /w or /whisper for whispering to someone. Add timestamps in the chat. Make character names right clickable for a dropdown menu for easy whisper, party invite, trade request (if in range). Make chat window properly resizable. Not only in height, but also in length. And not just 3 size stances, but drag to resize option like all modern windows have. Linking in chat to items, characters and url's (except blacklisted sites - those posts wont be posted at all, but you will be flagged instead - doesn't mean you get banned, but message will be investigated by GM.).
  3. Repeatable quests are fine, but you shouldn't be able to do them over and over again. Changing them into daily quests would be a lot better.
  4. For the early access it's made that we can use without limits, but this might change when the game releases. But it might be a good idea to add a cooldown to it. Maybe once every 8 hours is a good idea?

  6. First of all. I know when there is a downtime, it's all hands on deck to control the crowd. Your effort is appreciated. But.. I see some issues in the way you're doing the approached method which can be improved. Here are some points to take in consideration: Use just one announcement thread and update the cause in that thread. Currently i see 2, 3 threads addressing the same downtime. It's confusing. One thread is enough and bundles the info. Latest message in thread is the latest update on the cause. It's as simple as that. Change forumsections (like General ROSE Discussions, Bug Report and Tech Support) so that posting threads needs mods approval during downtime. A lot of people are posting about the downtime. I know people want information about the cause, but having dozen of threads about downtime is not nesseccary and even annoying to others. Have mod approval enabled on some forums limits this issue. In addition you could cross-post or cross-pin (i dunno how that works in this forum software) that announcement post instead. No matter if you know the cause of the downtime or not. Just announce there is a downtime. People had to wait hours before an official update was given. Just announce there is a downtime. Tell that you're investigating the issue and will come up with more details later. Then the people know the team is busy handling the downtime even if you don't have details yet yourself. Server status page does not always match the actual status. Update that page or fix if it should update automatically. Post an update across all social media channels as soon as possible. Not just Discord, because it's easier. Update across all channels. When there is a downtime, people are searching what's happening. Keep everyone informed by keeping track of your social media platforms. I hope these points helps you out to improve the way you work during downtime.

  10. Not true. Duel client is only important, because the game doesn't have a better alternative. Fix that first and you don't need duel client anymore.
  11. You see already appearing some ridiculous high prices. Like 100mil+ items already!?! WTF... There is your gap.
  12. It's good this is not possible anymore. This way of getting money was abused to get a lot of zulie very quickly. But i agree that the money gap should be fixed.
  13. You can also use a +<keyword> in your gmail address. If you email is: [email protected] then you can add like [email protected] for example. Everything from + to the @ will also be ignored. I checked this out and it's allowed here as an accountname. The + is a valid symbol in emailaddresses, but you must know that method it's not always accepted in other registration systems.
  14. Maybe it's an idea that you see the mats only when you have your item 'identified'. Same option you use to appraise an item. If you have done that, then the mats you get when disassemble is known. Otherwise it's a guess.
  15. Wild idea: What if vending became a dealer unique skill and everyone else has to use the auction house (or some other marketplace feature).

  21. Agree with this. As long as there is no official competition involved, no player should be put on a pedestal. Everyone is basically equal.

  23. Going that route there are a lot more options you can do. Name wise i would call it: <type> Visage: <effect> Not only glow, but you could have tons of particle effects. Some examples: Basic Visage: White Glow Basic Visage: Blue Glow Basic Visage: Purple Glow Basic Visage: Pink Glow Basic Visage: Green Glow etc... Weapon Visage: Dripping Blood Have blood drops dripping off your weapon. Weapon Visage: Fiery Have a fire effect coming off your weapon. Armor Visage: Hidden Hide armor piece. Back Item Visage: Love Potion Have pink hearts fading off your back item.

  25. It's the better way, in my opinion. It's works like this in most mmo's i've played.
