The item glitch struck again to remove my weapon. Used up the last of my measly pile of zulie to repair it a replacement drop from its garbage starting durability, but figured it'd be ok because the turtle soup quest (non-repetable) is the single good luna quest to get zulie. Guess which quest no longer gives zulie...

So now I have a crappy unrefined weapon and straight up no money because the devs think the only way zulie should enter this game is through two repeatable quests on kenji beach that can be spammed by higher lv players. My patience is shot.

For what it's worth, the devs don't think that the only way to make zulie should be two quests in Kenji. It's broken, it's not good game design, and I'd put money on it changing. I just don't think there's been a lot of spare time the last few weeks to put into content and balance changes, most of the effort from devs has been stability fixes. But as a community we definitely have enough feedback at this point to show how messed up the quest situation in Kenji is. I just hope we start to get more content and balance updates in the next few weeks since the servers are significantly more stable now.

  2. I'm also in full support of having a medium-length quest in the game to get more storage pages, as well. Perhaps Character Storage could be expanded through Questing, Premium Storage could be accessed from Premium account, and regular storage could be expanded through IM. There's definitely a solution here that works for everyone without being Pay to Win.

You're lucky you get zulie at all at this point. Do you know how many people are advocating for the removal of all zulie rewards from questing? You're only getting half as much from those 2 quests now. And you'll be getting less once they nerf it, and others more. So you'd better prepare to be even more broke, cause that's what you're going to get soon. Just prepare for it.

The people advocating for no zulie rewards don't understand how the game's economy is supposed to work. The economy can't grow with no zulie flow.

And from Junon Polis and up these kind of quests could be part of your Union. So players are getting distributed to different kind of mops/maps as well. This help against forming the hot spots where dozen of players are gathering.

I agree with that. Add a certain zulie and Valor point per kill for the Valor quests, and perhaps have some non-Valor quests like this that reward EXP and zulie. Could add a quest like this that is map dependent, and some that are species dependent. Like maybe Gorge of Silence has a quests to simply gather stone, and that stone could be gained from any mob in Gorge of Silence. Or a quest in Kenji for kaiman leather that drops from Kaiman specifically. This would be an easy way to break up the clogged spots in maps and also get some more zulie flowing.

  5. I agree! I have a suggestion as well.

I've been playing with an idea in my head, and that idea is a new type of quest centered around gathering supplies. You could pick up these quests for various level ranges, starting in Zant. These quests would pay you a certain amount of zulie per resource gathered. As an example, you get a quest from Cornell in Zant to gather Woopie Hides. You take this quest and just leave it while you level on Woopies. You can stack Woopie Hides all the way to 999. Each Woopie Hide pays 25z, so when you turn in the quest to Cornell after you hit 999 Woopie Hides, you get 24,975 zulie. You can turn it in any time from 1 to 999 items gathered.

Granted this is an exaggerated example. I'd expect these quests to be balanced around turning in 100-200 items, so if you stick it out to 999 you should get a sizable reward. I'd say it'd be a good idea to cap these so high levels don't just camp Zant and hog all the mobs for easy zulie though.

    What?

Yeah this person isn't making any sense. I play single client and my main is a battle Muse going for battle Cleric lol. The class is really enjoyable without having to spend SP on 12 different buffs.

  7. It's hard to list all the changes from 2007 to now, but I can tell you the game has seen tons of much needed updates and finishing touches throughout the years. I would say just play it and see how you like it. It's still ROSE, but with a lot of polish added on top. iROSE back in 2006 was really barebones and Pre-EVO was barebones too compared to ROSE now.

  8. So I used this guide to experiment, DEX is a power house for my Battle Muse. I've switched to INT for Wand, CON = Level (but may drop to CON = Half Level), SEN = Half Level, rest DEX. I don't add any CHA for now as I primarily solo and with Mana Shield Lv 5 I basically never have to heal.

I have maxed Wand Attack and Attack Speed Passives, maxed Cure and Heal just in case, Lv 1 Meditation so far (going for max), maxed INT Buff, and working on maxed Enhanced Damage buff. My only three attack spells are Fire Bolt, Hellfire, and Voltage Jolt, all maxed. Those three spells alone can bring just about every mob I fight to 1/3rd HP and you can alternate Fire Bolt and Voltage Jolt while Hellfire is on Cooldown. I use the Lv 50 MP Recovery Jewlery with my Lv 1 MP Recovery passive and my MP basically never runs out unless I spam Mana Shield back to back. I've been killing surprisingly fast with this setup and you can still provide backup DPS, lures, and heals in a party scenario.

  9. I'm torn between less than 50, and 50-75. I feel like most of my heavily time invested singleplayer games range from 40-100 hours of play, so maybe that's a good starting point for a single character. Perhaps 50-75 for a semi-casual player and less than 50 for an efficient, dedicated leveler. However, I think it's also important for newer players to be able to get up to speed within a reasonable timeframe as well so the end-game content and PvP is populated. Definitely need that balance of having Lv 250 feel like an accomplishment but also to where people don't burn out along the way. Thanks for the poll!

  10. From what I've gleaned, @darthtomskiis correct. Enough INT for your Wand and the rest into CHA for the buff and heal boost. As far as your skills, I'd say you want anything for MP management to keep your sustain up during heals, you need all your heals leveled up, and you'll be utilizing your bonfires quite a bit and later on as a Cleric you'll be using flames.

  11. We're nearing 2 weeks into Early Access and I can confidently say I will indeed pay money for more character slots and storage pages.

I think extra character slots are an easy convenience sell. There's no argument of pay to win as you can already have multiple accounts, even if you're limited to playing 2 at once. If you want all classes now you can already make more accounts to accomplish that. Why not offer a way to have them all on one account? Here's some notes about character slot expansions:

    1. Slots are offered individually or as a pack of 4.
    2. 1 Slot is 250 IM Points (around $2.50 USD)
    3. 4 Slots is 800 IM Points (around $8 USD)

As for storage expansions, I know there's some controversy around these as they're bordering pay to win by some players' definitions. However, I don't feel there's any legitimate hardcore advantage to having more storage space available. Players can already make more accounts to handle extra storage needs. Why not offer a paid way to keep it all on one account? Some notes about storage expansions:

    1. Pages are offered individually, as a pack of 4, or a pack of 8.
    2. 1 Page is 250 IM Points (again, around $2.50 USD)
    3. 4 Pages is 800 IM Points (around $8 USD)
    4. 8 Pages is 1400 IM Points (around $14 USD)

You could also offer an "Account Expansion" combo pack that includes character slots and storage pages in one purchase to make it easier. Some notes about a combo pack:

    1. Offered as a small pack: 2 character slots and 4 storage pages for 1000 IM Points (around $10 USD)
    2. Also offered as a big pack: 4 character slots and 8 storage pages for 2000 IM Points (around $20 USD)

Prices are definitely placeholder, but I do feel like these prices are completely reasonable for the convenience of keeping everything on one account. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
