  1. I like this idea, but it wouldn't be bad if the amount of alliances you can make with other clans are limited. Just to prevent there will be a one big mega force alliance VS tiny clans kinda situations.

Or you could have a setting in the Clan window where you can enable/disable PK for an alliance.

Or (wildest idea): Rose gets a clan reputation system where you can advance your alliance from neutral to friendly to honored. Special clan quests which require partying with at least 1 member of both clans can raise that reputation. On neutral PK is still active, but from friendly and up PK an alliance is optional. Highest rank gives the ability to join on the same side in a Clan War or something.

  2. Something that is bothering me is that when you come back to your computer after a while to check your shop for what has been sold you see empty holes where once were an item. I cannot remember always which item was actually sold. So a little feedback on this would be nice.

I was thinking that for the 'shop owners'-view a sold item is not removed, but disabled instead with the text 'Sold' on top of it. This way you can check which item was sold.

    Example:

    Player killing, so PvP zones.

Oh that pk. I thought maybe something different was meant here. But having pvp enabled in other places then the appointed pvp zones is probably not a good idea. Maybe if the devs find a better way to balance some things then stuff like pvp zones can be extended.

... but resource management is your dealer's job... Do you not have a dealer in your group?

    Kinda agree.

So here is an idea: What if dealer gets an additional pet-npc they can summon, a vendor with basic needs, like arrows, bullets, repair, food/drink, etc..
Groupmembers gets small discount, non-group members pays regular price.

  5. I always thought that Kings spawn when there were enough lesser ranks of the mob family are killed. Clearly that is not the case. This doesn't mean this cannot be implemented. This means no timer at all and needs activity of players to actually spawn kings. In my opinion a much nicer and fairer system.

Not sure how they would Program it. But beeing able to close the Windows or upon a DC would make life more easy. 🙂

It's not that hard i think. I mean the gamesystem serverside already knows what's in your vending window otherwise other players won't see it. So whats needs to be done is that the window needs to be saved (the items in the sequence you placed it in the window actually) after each change to the window is made (like: someone buys from you or sells to you, or when you stop vending and add/remove few items etc..).
When you open vending again, the gamesystem only needs to check if the items stored in the window are still present in the intentory. If one item is not there anymore then it's either sold (before you dc'ed) or you have removed it from your inventory yourself. In that case the game system can skip that item and go to the next item in the saved item sequence of the window.

Though I respect your opinion, I just wanted to add this as it keeps being brought up.

MMORPG is defined as “A massively multiplayer online game is an online video game with a large number of players, often hundreds or thousands, on the same server.”

This does not mean that anyone is forced to interact with anyone else. This simply means many people are logged in at the same time. That is it. Though the game mechanics do tend to favor those participating in group activities vs. solo, it is not forcing players to interact with one another. They do not have to if they choose not to.

I would not call it forced, but encouraged instead. 😉

  8. ROSE is a MMORPG, Massive Multiplayer Online RPG, not a MSORPG, Massive Singleplayer Online RPG.

If you need something, ask other players. Having 5 clients doesn't require you to interact with others. Two clients is the max and that is already more than the game should have in my opinion.

So please. Increase of client cap is totally not needed at all.

  9. If you really wanna think outside the box, then i suggest we need a ROSE Companion app. Preferably for Windows, iOS and Android.

An app where we can manage:

    • Chat (like GodOfEntity says)
      • General chat
      • Party chat
      • Whispers
      • Clan chat 💤
    • Clan managing (if you're a Clan master/deputy) 💤
    • Vending (check your own shop) 💤
    • Buying (check other people's shops) 💤
    • Trading

    💤 = Have this also when you're offline/not ingame.

  10. I was browsing through the offtopic subforum and found that this subforum acts kinda like topic dump. I'd like to give this subforum more purpose to talk about unrelated ROSE stuff.

I wanna ask if some more subforum cans be added to Offtopic. Here some suggestions:

    • Movies, Series, TV & Books
For talking about the latest or your favorite tv shows, series, movies or books.
    • Gaming
Obviously we are all gamers here and many of us play other games beside ROSE Online. So talk about 'm
    • Sports & Hobbies
What are your hobbies? Which sport do you like? etc..
    • Nerd Stuff & Science
Wanna talk about science? Some extraordinary collections or just wanna talk about things only nerds understand? This is the place.
    • Serious Talk
For when you want to discuss the more serious topics, like actual news like war, asking for advice, queer topics, etc..
    • Offtopic Cafe (current Offtopic renamed)
For every subject not fitting elsewhere.

  11. It would be very helpful if we got a proper Target unitframe like this. I agree. I play both WoW and ROSE currently and each time i play ROSE again it feels like a huge setback in terms of play style every time. This mainly because ROSE hasn't evolved over the years. Only added content, but no changes regarding the game engine or ui (we've seen nothing more than just a theme swap with same crappy ui system).

  12. I would rather see a dropdown menu with a couple of options.
    Like:

    • Send whisper
    • Invite to party (if character is not in party)
    • Invite to clan (if you have the clanrights to invite)
    • Add as friend
    • Show character info. You just get a system message in chat with info like:
      <username> level <lvl> <class>(, <rank> of <clan name>). Is (not) in party. Current location is <map name>
      example:
JohnDoe level 250 artisan, Clan Master of AwesomeClan. Is in party. Current location is Xita Refuge.
