    Hey!
I’ve been playing other games like WoW and GW2. Both games have some community-hosted outfit contests. How cool would it be if we could set up something similar in Rose? We’ll pick a theme, and people should dress up to match that theme. Is anyone willing to set up and host this? 😊

Put your money where your mouth is.🤣

If you present it to the devs like @AustinBomb then i am sure they will approve it. Just make sure the criteria and comp rules and regulations are established then i am sure you can make it happen.

P.S you could perhaps rope in @HoneyBuns (she's a sucker for pageants) i am sure she would love to be a part of it😉

  2. I agree that is one of the first thing you associate when entering Junon as a new player when you see this huge market place where you can shop until your (7)hearts content but unfortunately as it was iterated problem more times than the amount of zulie in game no one has that amount of time to peruse all of the stores and still try and get in quality game time.

There is place for both i can assure you that, if you look at the amount of shops on the other planets it tells you that loud and clear, i don't want to every time i am on Eldeon or Luna if it was still the old version of Rose have to keep going to Junon and look for weapons to cater for my level and spend 45mins-2hrs looking through shops trying to find a bargain somewhere or the gear with the best stats.

I just don't believe that there isn't room for both considering the devs want to modernize the game to make it appealing to new players but do not want to lose that nostalgia and appeal it had all those years, and a lack of options to obtain currency and gear options that is not just appealing aesthetically but actually useful in battle, currently the meta is exalted gear with a unique weapon and this is (un)fortunately driving by the veteran player base and lack of useful lower gear other than uniques.

I understand it is difficult for the devs because there are a lot of valid points a lot of the community is making but the question they are stuck with is "Where do we start, who do we appease first"

It will take time and i have faith in this team that things will get better it is just a matter of we all supporting them through thick and thin.

  3. For a second i thought i was reading one of Bobbity's master pieces.

Congrats @Seanos on level 205 all those points you have mentioned is all really valid and definitely points of concern for new players to navigate through.

The main problem is that one of the key fundamentals of any MMO was removed and not a lot of adjustments were made in the game to compensate for that lose. I am referring to need to have money in game to be able to reach your goals and make the game enjoyable and entertaining. Ever since zulie was restricted in the game a lot of players who started today has been crippled, lets take the Orlo daily quest which was restricted to 2m per quest everyone else who has arrived after the nerve has already impacted negatively and yes the saying might be "early bird catches the worm" but the fact of the matter is that all those veteran players who knew about it already reap the benefits and is already at a huge advantage compared to the rest. A player driven market is a positive but also a huge negative in my book as you look at the prices to buy items compared to the pittance new players get for selling their items to veterans who know the market in and out. Almost all the NPC gear prices are the same as when the game started and with very limited weapon drops for players to be able to sell due to the convoluted drop table and making most crafted items redundant.

Another problem in the game is the long cooldown period for low level vials which does not really help you save your precious food that you might have purchased because at the end of the day you will still have to use it just to make sure you don't die waiting to use another vial.

Unfortunately as in live we do not want to leave any situation feeling like we have lost and the need for validation is also a detriment as to why we can't evolve as a species.

I am currently enjoy leveling my mage i intentionally duel client to party myself to stop people from hindering me from having to group up and i am actually enjoying only using the single target skills i feel a sense of satisfaction when achieving something on my own through hard work and dedication.

I recently played my lvl134 bourg in xita and strangely enough we were an all dealer party and was really cool just banding with the guys but i felt power creep as we were struggling to kill pincers (Queen) faster than a fully specked out bourg with an AoE mage. My atk spd was 0.86% as well which also didn't help the situation.

There's a lot i still want to say but i am gonna cut it out short here and thanx for always posting these informative posts i really enjoy reading them.

It’s time to move on. Sticking to tradition will not suddenly bring back or attract new players or players playing more. New content = more players and playing time. Reborn system will make classes hard to balance so it may not be a good idea. Regarding the lack of zullie it can be fix with more repeatable quests that gives zullie as rewards. I believe there’s no zullie quests in Luna and only a few in eldeon. There is also no levelling/zullie quests in gorge of silence and dessert of the dead for levels 80-100. So more of what game already has should be implemented. Imo, I don’t think it’s the grind that makes the game fun, it’s more on the progress of your character and exploration of the game. Without this, the game is monotonous and players will get bored.

I should mention also that theres a bigger problem that has not been mentioned yet. It’s botting. A lot of players do it for levelling and clan points farming. Botting speedruns the levelling phase making majority of low level items irrelevant. Players go to botters botting spots to level up since it’s convenient and this limits exploration. Botting encourages other players to bot aswell. Imagine botting and you get the bonus exp by over killing a mob, that would mean that they will speed run the game even more. Botting sucks basically. A possible solution is to make every life matter. Once you die you either started over again from last save point or lose a level each death. Currently, you only lose a bit experience from dying. I think it’s not punishing enough for afk botters.

So to sum up, exploration is fun, progress is fun, challenge is fun, new content is fun and botting sucks. The game is not dying. It’s still in early access. 😎👍

You that is a bit of a problem because the devs had the option of moving away entirely from this format of ROSE by migrating everything to UE but opted against it and decided to continue forward with what is already in place, will that be a good or bad thing only time will tell and i love the optimism they have regarding tackling this daunting task uncovering everything that was hidden within the games code and understand what can and can't be done. They're main aim is to introduce the game to new players because that will benefit their plans in the future as the community/player base i would not say it is dwindling but it is competing in a space that is in a state of flux(noun) and there is a place for ROSE to thrive.

Unfortunately a lot of clans are currently using this method of botting to acquire clans points to unlock clan skills so it is something that is a bit of a nuisance and having to clamp on this would greatly impact efficiency. The devs have however clamped down on botters who were using it to exploit other avenues of the game and always has a close eye on these types of exploits i have seen numerous times Drezynit traverse the planets looking at key spots.

Btw i would like to highlight a potential bug. If another player attacks the mob or boss you’re fighting, this tends to reduce the chance of getting good drops. I think is this is kinda troll because whenever I fight a boss, sometimes a random player will auto the boss once then run away and the drop becomes shite. I’ve experienced this plenty of times. Soloing a boss without any intervention gives better drops in my experience. Hopefully, this can be fixed.

How can you determine that? I have also come to the same some sort of conclusion but i do not have any definite to validate my point. What other players mainly say its more or less a time based factor that determines the quality and quantity but still nothing conclusive.

lol, i got more very rare drops as compared to rare drops,  like legendary sun watcher, etc... than gems.. i need gems, not more weapons, and on a side note, I can't seem to get lattice and fibers even though they belong to uncommon, and the drop percentage is higher...

The drop system is a bit of a weird one to understand in most cases you will get more rare to very rare drops as oppose to in terms of uncommon drops. The gem drop percentage has to be increased across the board even gem boxes from ghosts seems like more like a phantom drop nowadays, also more skill books drop from them and not just a skill book i.e 1 x sacrifice i get 2-3 at a time.

Hey! As the name suggests, let's talk about the iconic parts of ROSE. Say Castle gear mounts, say carts with epic weapons, say cool buffs, say unique style monsters, say cities full of tiny house shops, say candle ghosts, say the woopies howling around, say the scary jelly bean faces and much more. Let's discuss the stuff devs should keep in mind and not forget about the cool parts of ROSE that make the game. Please don't be negative or complain about stuff that is not working as you wish. Let's keep it positive and focus on discussing the cool stuff in ROSE. We can talk about possible improvements and such, but let's keep the ideas positive.

Let me start with a topic. I want to talk about the cart concept. How unique is this in the MMORPG world? ROSE has some cool and cute cart designs with multiple attachments to speed them up, attack with them, and more. How cool would it be to have more focus on these carts in the future? How cool would it be to have more models from the old-style carts? How cool would it be to have more useful customizations for the carts?

During this event, monsters around your level will have a chance to drop shamrocks and green Leprechaun Boxes. The shamrocks will go into the material tab of inventory. The boxes will contain one part of the Leprechaun costume set and initially they go into consumables, where they will stack.  When you open them, the costume pieces will be in the equipment tab.
Note: the costume will become account bound when you equip it.

There is also a repeatable event quest. Start by talking to Judy in Zant. She will ask you to gather 10 shamrocks. These are the shamrocks that you might already have in your material inventory.

When you return to Judy, she will trade your 10 shamrocks for 10 nets... to catch the leprechauns with of course  😛   The quest is called "The Leprechauns Run Amok" and it shows in your quest log.  Put the nets on your skill bar, along with the "Target Enemy" skill. When you kill a mob and a leprechaun appears, click on the skill right away, then try throwing the net. These little guys are really fast but they always run away from you, then back towards you, so soon enough you will figure out their pattern.

Go back to Judy when you gather 10 proofs and you will get the following options

      Reveal hidden contents

Option 1 will give you some zulie and a schematic for a Green Sporty Cart or Clover Engine
Option 2 will give you some zulie and a Leprechaun Box (the same one the mobs drop)
Option 3 appears to be nothing more than a stall in case you change your mind about turning in the quest. Just for fun, I tried #3 last year then went out to catch more leprechauns but the quest stops giving you credit after 10

Check the spoiler below for images of the Leprechaun Costume and Green Sporty.  Shown are the base stats of the wearable items. They may also have substats.

Steam Heat and Steam Viper are in the Valor Shop.
Mana Oil and Mana Metal are in the Honor Shop.

May the luck of the Irish be with you! ☘️

Okay i did a quick analyses of this quest and would like to suggest that we make easier for newer player to do these types of quest because it is quite expensive and not really all worth it considering the only meaningful reward is the cart.

I am currently level 112 and leveling on Luna, intentionally did not by me a cart or a mount to see how much it would cost me to traverse the majority of ROSE planets and if it is possible to just use the good ol pegs.

This is the breakdown i currently have of the quest and how much it costs.

The reward for the quest whether you go option 1 or 2 is 24.9K zulie and your choice of reward whether it be schematic(1) or leprechaun box(2)

These prices are based on AVRP.

    Eucar scroll - 6.4k

    Trip from Luna-Junon - 5k

    Zant scroll - 2.5k

    Junon scroll - 3.8k

Trip back to Luna - 5k

    Total traveling cost - 22.7k

Quest Reward 24.9k - Travel Cost 22.7k = Actual Reward 2.2k and schematic or leprechaun box

I hope the team can look at this and perhaps add annual event NPC's on each planet just to make things easier for all concerned.

It would also help if more ppl crafted things other than wings, masks, potions, ammo and gems.  Unfortunately, it seems that most folks rush as fast as possible to level up so there is seemingly no market for lower level things, including the mats to produce them.

I bought an inexpensive crafted Turtle Backshield in Zant and was happy to do it!  In Junon, a crafter of arrows, ammo and such needed animal leg bones and some metal so I was pleased to unload mine for a little more money although I was previously saving that metal in case I wanted to try crafting later.  ^  ^

Nice experience i like to help out players as well if i have mats to hand them to craft items, i am currently using a buffalo backshield on my mage wish i could actually use different ones but that is mainly on certain levels that we can equip them.

A lot of players new and old do miss a lot of the Rose experience by breezing through game trying to reach max level and when they have to solo play or start a new character trying to do the storyline etc they get bored quickly because they are not use to struggling and revert back to the fast paced group/party aspect of the game and then a different set of boredom sets in.

My very first character is a scout stuck on lvl178 my 2nd character is a level 248 cleric and then i have a few mid 150-170 as well, i am honestly struggling to level my scout because the character/class does not feel the same i do not get the same enjoyment i use to have. Partying could resolve the issue but that would feel like a cop-out.

  10. Its not your fault the drop table and the dealer/artisan class still has to be looked at overall a lot of these materials had a use in some or other iteration of Rose so your PoR will most likely be from which edition you migrated.

There is a quest in El Verloon from i think Orias where you kill 20-40 rackies which rewards you with health vials, it is a repeatable however.

The Rose community is also helping tremendously to improve the game and trying new innovative ideas to help with creating an enjoyable environment for all.

Also there are a lot of helpful and friendly Roserians (not you Roserian) in the games official discord channel who is more than willing to help and also try and join a clan if you can to help with gear and other items that you can use.

I was the same, but later after playing the game for awhile, I realized in this version of ROSE, you have to go to nearby NPC to obtain quest in order to get zulies. If you are standing there in a party leveling, you will run into that problem of having no zulies to do anything. There needs to be some hint somewhere to a new player where to earn zulies where most people gathered.

I agree wholeheartedly with this their should be a way for newer players to find the best way to make money in the game, the disheartening fact about it all the quest was adjusted because of the zulie exploit.

I share the same thoughts with you, I also believe the whole crafting and artisan craft skill tab should be accessible by any class. The idea of peasants farming the mats and trade to Artisan class sounds nice on paper, but in reality it just gives elite player to rip new players off, you will sell your mats for cheap but won't be able to afford anything.

This is something i have been speaking about for a while now and was one of the players who advocated for implementing an Auction House to try and curb the exploit of the current player market which is being dictated by the community not that it is something bad entirely but it would have made things easier on multiple fronts i.e having price competition and driving down market prices and also helps players utilize their time searching for gear and jewelry and focus more on leveling and also implementing a system that helps new players sell their items at higher prices. I know this can also become a pitfall in regards to the market can stagnate and just keep pricing at a premium.

The group thing was originally designed for large scale Game Arena PvP I believe, a group is just a group that shares buffs, chat, a more advanced UI to see each other status like levels, class. It was never intended to be used for high levels to buff noobs. Strictly speaking, if they disable grouping for people 19 levels apart, it will be a disaster to level up without these high levels providing strong buffs, but they have to allow such thing because leveling will be extremely depressing with the low player activity engaging in leveling since most players reached 250 already. It's just like how they need to allow and recommend you to play this game by dual clienting.

Not necessarily remember the very first iteration of players did not have high level chars to work off of and just used their knowledge of the game and probably from being Alpha testers to get an advantage over those who don't but most of those testers shared the information either via Twitch stream or the Official Discord channels. So with this i will not be too critical.

This is the consequence of power creep development from years ago in Gravity Interactive NA ROSE, if you use yellow text weapon/equipment, it will feel like what you mentioned. In order to not feel weak/great, you have to use Unique weapon (+8% PvM Offense) or Hardened weapon (+5% PvM Offense), and Reinforced armor (+15% PvM Defense for whole set), all of which are not accessible to a brand new player. Also, yellow text weapon/equipment have (+0% PvM Offense/defense), over a long period of time of development these yellow text items are obsolete by blue and unique equipment. And the biggest reason you felt weak is because, you just simply should not kill everything by yourself, you have to be in big parties.

This is the current games meta and it is a shame that it has come to this, the one silver lining is that refining a unique is not as rewarding as a refining any other weapon in terms of power scaling but this can be used a positive in terms of making the power scaling far higher in normal to rare weapons to combat the lack of added natural boonus stats you get from using rare or reinforced weapons to balance things out. The need to be in a party aspect of the game is not a necessity but it helps improve the experience of it and should perhaps have a better rewards system for players leveling solo as to the constant need to co-play, i enjoy solo leveling and sometimes hate it for the constant request to party sometimes i just buff them and then leave the party again.

And regarding weak heals, I'm not sure what happened, but probably it suffered the same problem as buffs where you cannot live without buffs, so adjustment were made since heals causes stalemate in PvP game arena something like that. Clerics should only be supportive, not a primary factor to keep someone alive.

Should not have been a by product of the game could have been handled better but yeah that is the beauty of hindsight at the end of the day. I did suggest mixing up the different buffs instead of just going the normal AP/soldier, AS/hawker, ACC/dealer,  etc. rather give what each class needs and this way make them all valuable to the party where each class needs each other.

Unfortunately the current version is dictating that the Cleric becomes a heal slave instead playing the supportive role.

  12. This is the problem i have with a lot of things in the game where you decide on a playing style and its just so easy to say (IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT JUST RESET!!!) that is hardly the issue at hand. We should accept each and every character with their strengths and weakness and find a way to help each other to make the game enjoyable for everyone.

@Seanos wrote how he felt about the changes of the game and how it negatively impacted his experience and the next comment is trade in your wand for a stave and spam AoE's not that i am trying to point a finger at @kaiserkirva's comment but that is in general the consensus of a lot games nowadays.

  13. Judging from what everyone is saying is that there is no work around for any of these problems, if you take the one aspect away then another problem get created.

While reading these posts i thought about maybe if adding a level limiter on items would resolve the problem of only wearing/using certain items i.e unique weapons it is quite rare that once you have obtained a unique weapon that you will use another weapon until lvl200 unique weapon in some rare instances some deviate from this. A possible solution would be to give weapons as a quest reward but can only be used until a certain level or until the next quest unique weapon gets acquired but it is a bit of stretch though. A lot of frustration for the is related to certain character nerves to accommodate melee build chars who struggle in the PvP arena and considering that its a mainly a mini game to give you a break from questing and farming i just feel its making a lot of players who are not PvP orientated just give up on actually continuing the game.

The lack of zulie drop is a major concern for new players and also the fact that not a lot of low level items gets vended and at a cost effective price is also a deterrent. There were talks a few months back regarding artistry and introducing new designs to help improve the game but mainly most of them were introduced into IM and not really benefiting players who can not afford to purchase items. A balancing act would be to introduce these items into the IM upon creation lets say for about 2-3months and then make it an event item 9-12months later so that everyone can have a chance to get it, it might be a negative to the artist but at least it will show the community that not everything in ROSE is money driven.

There's a few more points but yeah lets leave it at that for now.

  14. 4 hours ago, HilariousFace said:

There are often times when fighting a mob at the right level say yellow, it does not drop anything. You can 0% drop penalty, however I believe the drop table has many empty slot, you rolled the dice to an empty slot, so 100% drop chance of nothing, is still nothing.

But since while we are at it, there is a nasty bug that exist in the game client since the beginning of ancient ROSE evo. I believe it has something to do with HP server client desync, very often if the boss has high HP where it takes a long time to kill, let's say you use a gunbourg to pew pew it from 100% HP down to 0% HP, there are times when you get a boss to 0% HP, but it does not drop die immediately, some sort of "Omae Wa Mou Shideriu" moment, the boss staying alive attacking you at 0% HP for like 2 seconds then it perish AND IT DOES NOT DROP ANYTHING. I'm guessing the server doesn't see the monster as dead, it gets confused but needs to put an end to the boss on your client side. If you don't know what bug I'm talking about, it's just like the gloopy healers in Sikuku Catacombs where they slowly crawl to the boss, you very often get these gloopy to 0 HP but the HP bar just stuck there while they are still moving.

There is a way to avoid this HP bar glitch for boss hunt, you should avoid just click a boss to auto attack from 100 down to 0 HP, at like 5% HP re-click the boss again to resync the HP, that seems to fix this bug.

This bug you get with normal mobs as well not sure if the (main) server is at play here regarding from client to server lag/ping but I seem to get it when killing regular old mobs as well

Define "high-level", on a non-dealer character I've noticed this isn't the case. The new price vendor gives is just (what you paid to repair it + the old/original price)

Yes this is only effective on Dealer/Arti/Bourg with the discount and merchandising for any other class you just get the money (one third) the item would cost at an NPC if durability is 100%.

Which means people will have to make new chars > makes lower level maps more populated > Makes new players feel that the world is more alive > Makes the community grow.

This basic principle is what made the world Junon always active in the older ROSE versions. Due to Goblin Cave (Refines), GoS (Uniques, B3 Equipment, Woodstock/Sporty Schematic), DoD, Kenji (Leather, Lace, Blue Hearts, Blue Crystals) farming and more.

Looking at it as a whole a lot of different factors for the decline or lack of player base (story-line, endgame content, craft-able items, pvp arena, dungeons, class diversity)

I will focus on the main(immediate) issue that is causing the decline in player base. The lack of in-depth analyses of the drop table spreading the materials across different maps over crowding of prime spots to make money which also breeds RMT we can't sell regular gear for a lot of money which creates a rift between players who vend the entire time and those who are just lucky to sell an item for a lot of money, but also the lack of attention to dealer/artisan and other classes that need more fine tuning just to make them play/enjoyable as a whole and not just working on the surface issues. I realize the team is spread too thin working on different things trying to improve the game and i commend them for the amount they have achieved in so little time (Migrating Database, game engine(polish), bug fixes etc).

A lot more to say but yeah gonna cut it short.

What are the level requirements for these items? I need something I can actually use on my level, 43. High Level super Unique Spears for millions I can see in shops.

Low level Uniques only requires you to meet the stat requirements and the you have your level 200 uniques. Dependent on what level weapon you require for your specific level you can ask an artisan to craft any weapon you can buy from the weapons shop and craft a hardened/darkened or enchanted. These are level appropriate weapons if you do need.

  18. Best bet would be to get yourself a hardened or unique weapon, soldier weapon drops (spears) for your level would mainly drop either in kenji beach kaiman or golems in GoS, i havent seen for myself any spear drops in FoW or Anima Lake (Junon Entrance) perhaps someone else can fill in the gaps regarding these weapon drops.

I believe max levels shouldnt be able to farm junon, like cant have max level bourgs sitting at aguas waiting for king.
restricting grey mob dropping might baffle the community a little, but in the long run is worth it as in the end people would go and actually create new chars to farm, helping noobs level along the way.
Systematically helping the game come alive.

the "grey mob dropping" was actually implemented for medallion hunting and some select items only low level mobs have i.e nymph powder. The unique farming was just a side benefit (exploit) that players started discovered while farming for the medals it use to be much harder to obtain low level uniques in the beginning.

  20. 12 hours ago, kaiserkiva said:

You have vague points while correcting another post. What do you mean by ‘the valor shop has all the materials you need so there is no reason to farm, also most of the items you want as drops do not drop from mobs anymore you can just do dungeons get Valor Points and then buy it in the shop.’  Chemicals can be farmed from mobs (not in the valor shop). Gems can be farmed from Kings and dgs (most of the gems are not in the valor shop). Hook feathers (NEVER IN THE VALOR SHOP LOL). Fibres, forest ash, dirties (not in the valor shop). All feathers, all hearts and all scales were removed from the valor shop a few patches ago which is a big improvement.

As an artisan who actually crafts gems, weapons, armour and subitem, I rarely use valor shop for my matts (I.e. threads, furs, metals, leather, etc.) cus I either disassemble items or farm them as it’s most cost effective than using valor for these mats. I only buy from the valor shop for cart mats but I still have to ‘farm’ valor to get them. My point is that using the valor shop for mats is optional. I agree with @akosimaki that not all players have the whole day to farm mats. Therefore a mixture of dg and more farming spots would be nice.

I realised that I mentioned valor shop 9 times lol. The last reply just seemed troll-ish with the misinformation and without making a valid point.

well clearly you didn't read my post with an intent of understanding and just took offense for what i said in response to yours, in any case those where examples i made regarding what you would normally get from monster drops and you just made my point by reiterating you farm for valor points to purchase cart mats when it use to drop in abundance in GoS from golems but yeah make your point regarding end game farming and not comprehending what the thread really is about actually. Regarding your disassembling its mainly RNG btw but yeah way to go i am glad that you find fulfillment in other ways and hope that that will never change.

Reading it back now i think You are right this is a troll-ish reply with misinformation.

In my own opinion we must also consider things different now compare before, many players got no whole day just to farm on spots, i think we all still farming the way we want to play the game and how we can still enjoy it.

to earn valor = Farm (DG or Quest)
to earn mats = you also farm on spots

We can't just say just farm mats all the way cuz even now on this current server people are just camping some farming spots and other people can't even get a chance to farm cuz some people camping this said spots

so i think on both worlds FARMING on SPOTS for mats and FARMING DG/QUEST for valor is still FARMING, it will just be preference from now on...on how you will just enjoy the game

the only thing I can suggest is to give more spots on to farm on and increase the mobs scatter on different areas/maps/location so we can maximize the whole PLANETS and make it more farmable to all players who want to do this method.

just my own opinion being a FARMER on DG and being a FARMER on SPOTS.

I think you are missing the point of this whole topic, the problem is not about farming certain spots its about the lack of farming in general since the valor shop has all the materials you need so there is no reason to farm, also most of the items you want as drops do not drop from mobs anymore you can just do dungeons get Valor Points and then buy it in the shop.

You dont have to hunt Orple or Eudy's for Eudy Feathers or you dont have to hunt hookwings for hook feathers to create wings just go to your trusty Valor Shop and you are good to go.

The drop tables have to be revisited to make the game more enjoyable for many of the players who want to farm and feel that sense of thrill when you get those mats and you can finally craft the wings, armor, weapon or sub item that you desperately want.
