Last time i played the game, it was in Irose or Pre-evo so... I'll said Bourg since they had the best skill to boost drops ( stockpiles ). I'm not sure if they still have it...
I'll see when the game release. Champ and raiders was nice back in the days

I still say give stockpile to arti's and the mercs to bourgs suits them far better and gives the class more meaning.

Also would be cool if they could change height and weight of characters.

At this point i've been gaming for over 20 years, and i gotta say that if your players are running more than one instance of your game for anything other than for fun. That's typically endemic of a larger problem. Even if you don't agree that the buff clerics used were OP. The fact that many players would/are willing to go out of their way to run two copies of the game at once when (in a MMO in a healthy state)  that shouldn't even cross their mind over just finding more players should be concerning. MMO stands for 'massively multiplayer online' after all, not 'multiple monitor online'. So it stands to reason that if the lack of a thriving player base causes those remaining to play a second class at the same time to continue playing enjoyably, you have a pretty significant issue in terms of that class's effect on core gameplay. Whether or not taking that classes buffs and splitting them across the games classes is the solution is definitely up in the air. That there is a problem is not.

Agree with what you said Mizore. I only found out on a p/server that you can multi-client and it never bothered me one bit soloing. I played on another server all alone on it, it was totally deserted but i enjoyed exploring the game even more so because i had to rely on myself to progress (the drops were nice though) didnt even cared that i had a lot of zulie to burn and no one was on or trade with. It made me appreciate Rose so much more for all its splender and flaws alike.

I wonder if this skill should be affected by cast range modifiers like gems or not. If this were to be implemented, being sniped from across the map would be a real hazard in PvP. You'd have to consider the terrain for possible hiding spots, have to send out hawkers to surveil, keep an eye on your HP during teamfights and, for muses, the cooldown of your Mana Shield.

On the other hand, the more snipers in a team's backline, the fewer frontliners you have tanking and dealing stable DPS.

I use to hate it when i start off with my sniping skill and the mobs became aggro even before releasing the bullet. Definitely defeated the purpose of its name.

For some reason i am thinking that there was a stun effect tied to sniping at one time might just be my imagination, it would also be cool if you could add different status effects to the sniping.

Based on what I watched from some Alpha testing videos, it looks like it has the same gameplay from NA ROSE. I think there are already enough dungeons.

    Current Dungeons:

    • Cave of Ulverick
    • Halls of Oblivion
    • Sea of Dawn
    • Sikuku Catacombs

It was a good time-killer and fun because you can spam it with your friends or other people. By spamming those dungeons, you get Valor Points which you can use to exchange for end game PvE Armor and Weapons, Gems and Runes.

Those dungeons were mainly all end game, what Zeror is suggesting or at least from what i interpret from what he said is that he want dungeons on most of the maps so that they are playable for low level characters as well and give an origin story to the mobs and how they came about.

Why shouldnt we completely remove buffs being sharable? Classes having their own buffs (maybe even very short 'power' improvements) forces some kind of build adjustment and it improves their class strenghts.

Because with this redistributing I still see people build certain classes with full charm/int build just for sharing buffs. And balancing might be easier when there are no sharable buffs.

I do like it when we could make changes like this and complement the characters strenghts this way, make every single char even more unique. Since imo giving every char parts of the full buffs doesnt change that much apart from forcing people to party and being more dependent on others. Partying should just increase efficiency and this should be enough reason to party.

So my suggestion is, remove sharable buffs and give every class selfbuffs that complement their strenghts (this might make balancing easier for lategame by buffing/nerfing selfbuffs) and rethink what unique role cleric should be. Maybe just healer is enough, with possible builds for healer/offspec for damage.

This might remove the always need for buffs hunger and make soloplay completely viable! Dual client is no problem, since you just play 2 chars you like. Even limiting to solo client is then a possibility like how many other mmo's work.

The hardest part about all of this is that there are buff potions available in naRose which if not altered as well that will make the need for clerics null and void, only solution regarding self buffs is if you diversify the buffs.

i.e give clerics atk power up buffs, arti's atk spd, scouts crit rate, champs m-spd, knights enhanced damage, raiders dodge rate that way each class will be beneficial to the party.

I intentionally excluded bourgs because of stockpile skill and mage has hp and mp up.

This is just my own thought process of trying to balance it out.

  6. Clerics have always been the support classes and the buffs enhances itself and the other classes abilities, players who have learned how to optimize the class are being punished, yet majority of the players who played other classes also benefited from this. (let me call it exploit)

Leveling a cleric on its own is tedious with and without buffs we do not really get the benefits of all the skills, skill casting slows time it takes to deal constant damage and base weapon AP is too low to make a real difference in battle we do not have AoE's for CC and if we are swarmed chances are highly likely we wont see tomorrow morning.

Either way I will main a cleric although i cant really say main as i like to play all classes and enjoy the challenges ahead.

  7. I think that no matter which route the devs take it will deter the market, so essentially there is no correct measure regarding the market it is controlled by the Community/Players. Flooding or starving will have an adverse affect.

I honestly hope they go through the quest level requirements and adjust them, or remove them, from lower level areas.

zant for instance has a few quests you couldn’t do unless you went directly there after getting your job, I think 18 was one and 15 for Lena and I want to say Cornell or maybe spero.
    (Fetch quests)

usually your around 20+ if you do the quests or level in luxem.

Fetch quest was Ullyses (pricelist) Adv Plain and Sharlin (wine delivery) Breezy Hills.

  9. I do get what everyone is saying regarding the buffs and unfortunately we are/were spoiled by it and all i hear is change this change that cleric this cleric that either way i can play with a cleric just because i love the class and can adept. If changes are going to be made then changes should be made across the board because the changes affecting a cleric negatively impacts the class no matter what anyone says regarding the changes how you should adapt.

Raiders are so OP with the fast atk spd and high dodge which makes it almost impossible for other classes to consistently do damage, champs with their insane health and damage output also eclipse clerics damage, dealers with their mercs do more damage than a clerics summons and on top of their natural damage output and also magic shield also nerfed so what positives do we draw from all of this if i might ask?

Not trying to be a wet blanket but yeah all i see is deductions on a class not even really played for what its for but just overly abused for what it can give to others.

    Bourg - launcher spd increased

all other classes got their respective buffs and which enhances their attributes.

  10. So true Bobbity i also soloed most of the time mainly because i always felt my buffs were inadequate for the party or if you have buffed which is the primary reason for being in the group you had to help defeat said mobs as well, i enjoyed my life of solitude and played the game at my own pace and explored many areas of the game apart from pvp areas. I have adapted my playing style to suite my clerics needs and relied on my own strengths no matter how insufficient they might have been but the journey towards the end was so self satisfying and fulfilling every single step of the way.

Clerics can still be strong, and useful for healing and defensive buffs. Their offensive buffs were absolutely a problem

This isn't an "incorrect assumption". Classes weren't balanced well, especially near the end, and ESPECIALLY most cleric buffs. People who are defending the cleric buffs *probably* played cleric, and used the buffs to their advantage. I didn't have a cleric. It was hard to find clerics. I often saw other people with buffs, and if they were cleric buffs, they shredded things, while I had to fight at normal speed, which makes solo leveling take forever. On the off chance that I DID get buffed, everything was great until the buffs wore off, then I didn't feel like grinding at such a slow speed again, or leaving just to get those OP buffs. The fact that cleric buffs were THAT overpowered actually encouraged people to run multiple clients, just to have buffs all the time. Unfortunately, cleric buffs make things inherently unbalanced, unless everyone has access to them. People who main cleric should be playing cleric to support their party. Not just to buff people. If people like cleric ONLY for the buffs, then that class is anything BUT balanced, because those buffs were so much more overpowered than the rest of the spells, that nobody cares about those things, as long as the buffs aren't nerfed, right? That's a bad class design. Clerics could use more ways to heal effectively, and maybe give people some kind of lifesteal buff, along with some max armor/health, as well as things like hp/mana regen.

The other classes had issues as well, but I'm sure the devs are working on balancing everything. I'll be providing a lot of feedback when I get the chance to play.

This is ridiculous. The challenge won't be "gone". If anything, it will be more challenging, because clerics will have to actually do something useful, other than throw out buffs and go afk for the duration. Clerics are support. There are no other classes in the game that support anything, other than themselves.

The problem is that everyone is under the impression/assumption that the buffs made CLERICS OP which was and is not the case at all and it mainly enhanced other players existing qualities. So whoever says that clerics are OP definitely do not know what they are talking about.

  12. Sorry if it has been mentioned on another thread but i would like to suggest 2 skills that i think would be ideal for clerics and their survivability.

I would suggest a (cool down) skill for clerics which can be either for the clerics only or party as well, I know some of you might think that is ludicrous because it would be an advantage to clerics but it is not really as the skill should only increase cool down for about 1-2 seconds max which would make clerics an integral part in parties.

The other skill i would suggest would be an AoE with a sleep or stun effect to help if clerics are swarmed by a lot of mobs, I know lightning use to target a group of mobs not sure in which revision of Rose that would be and not sure if it is still in this Edition.

Just my idea of helping clerics out a bit more as I do not see the benefits of crit dmg and atk-spd for spellcasters unless you use your weapon without its skills which defeat the purpose of being a spell caster/healer in the first place.

  13. I honestly do not understand why people are still going on about this topic. Its sad to see how a game mechanic gets punished because of an exploit(dual-clienting). I understand why some are against clerics having all the buffs but they forget that our buffs aren't strong through the entire game its mainly end game and really only when you purchased the IM buffs that you saw the difference really. People a;ways complain about buff slaves etc but almost everyone created a cleric on a 2nd account to buff their mains, I remember when f/s clerics were in parties with tankers then they'd asked them to help kill the mobs (it's like asking the cleaner to do your job after he has done his) no offense to anyone who is in that profession just trying to make my point more clearer.

@OwlchemistVilehealing skill is quite limited for party's really because our max healing is 4K(speaking under correction as i never was a f/s) which is far less than most tankers HP also with the skill cooldown negating it really being effective on its own, so we will also have to use potions/pots/meats etc in addition to healing (vigor water instant heals with no cool down so spammable) and the fact that we have little to no def also so we can not take on multiple mobs successfully unless mana shield is activated and that also gets negated due to the fact that we have decent damage so killing mobs will take much longer which we have to achieve by sacrificing either healing buffs or max buffs added to the different summon types you have to decide on as well.

Clerics are great the way they are its on of my favourite classes to play i enjoy the challenges it brings.

  14. i understand your concerns Erko i have the same as well, lets wait and see how the changes impact the game once it starts although it wont be too noticeable in the first 2-3 months because the server will be highly populated with nostalgia and enthusiasm. The devs did however say that if the changes doesnt work they wont hesitate to revert back or make improvements which ever character class it may be.

  15. I would also love the slower route with better rewards at the end of the main quest because it can be a long tedious grind and if level progression is quickly then it will leave you with incomplete quests and the work around is partying with others who have the same quest but sometimes solo play is essential as well. I am not sure if the main quest has been updated to go beyond Est in Luna will have to find out from the Devs in regards to the updates.

Also would love to get feedback on updates implemented on the forum to see what was tinkered with and how.

  16. Interesting piece Sui however what the devs want to accomplish to make the game viable for newer generations as well to give it longevity because if the focus was to get the old guard back then it will die a quick painless death. The game isn't really trying to get to endgame as quickly as possible because each player look for different things i a game some will go for endgame content some will focus on lore of the game and some will just want the social experience the game has to offer and its laid back approach.

The margins are quite fine with each of these as you wont be able to satisfy every single player on what is added or removed, as of now i am between minds of returning and playing the game or move on and hold on to the nostalgia from yesteryear. The longer the devs take with the official release of the game the more people will move on and i think they are starting to realize that the longer they wait, trying to release the perfect game upon release is next to impossible but rushing it will also be wrong.

I have said it before i want to play the Rose Rednim Games is releasing and not a rehashed pserver continuation.
