lazypenguin Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Hello ROSE community, We are releasing a patch ahead of our intended schedule as the Thanksgiving event will automatically begin on Monday and we need to deploy some changes before the event begins. Since we're in the middle of our normal patch cycle this update will be a bit smaller but includes a couple of interesting changes that were ready to release. Please check it out below! Beta Client Updates Added new accessibility option to reduce particle brightness & invert effect colors Fixed zulie drops breaking mouse input Fixed projectile effects broken behavior when cast on personal stores Fixed a crash related exclusive full screen mode Fixed a crash on return to character select Fixed a crash on exiting game Fixed several other misc reported crashes (thanks for your crash reports) We continue to iterate and improve on the new client so that we can officially switch to it as the official game client. Several crash fixes have been fixed in this update. Additionally we added a new accessibility feature for those sensitive to the strobing effects in the game. Effect brightness can be now be configured in the options menu and the colors can be inverted. 2023-11-12-00-11-24-capture.mp4 Mana Shield Cooldown Mana Shield/Fortified Mana Shield will now go into cooldown when cast AND when the shield breaks We have made a small adjustment to Mana Shield so that the cooldown resets when the Mana Shield breaks in addition to when the shield is cast. If the shield is broken while it is still in its casting cooldown then the cooldown will reset. manashield.mp4 Salamander/Mana Flames Salamander and Mana Flames have been re-enabled in PvP zones Bonfire/Salamanders/Mana Flames will only start healing after the first duration has elapsed In our previous patch we disabled Salamander and Mana Flames to observe the impact on PvP. We have re-enabled these skills and modified the base behavior of Bonfires, Mana Flames and Salamander Flames. Previously, these skills would immediately provide healing as soon as they were spawned and then wait an interval before healing again. We have changed these skills so that they will NOT immediately provide healing and only start healing after the first interval elapses. For example, if a cleric spawns a bonfire that bonfire will not provide healing until 10 seconds have passed. We anticipate this might introduce some new strategies in PvM and PvP, as always please provide your feedback on this change. 2023-11-11-23-59-01-capture.mp4 Thanksgiving Event The Thanksgiving event will begin on November 13th!
