List of Gems in the Game

Recommended Posts

There are a LOT of gems in the game.  This is a list of the gems (and what they affect) to help players know what’s available so they can decide what they want/ need.

First some general gem information.

1- Gems can only go into specific slot(s) on gear. That info can be found on each gem.  Other than the gems that are crafted by an artisan, the rest of the gems in the game have one of the following words in their names and that word indicates where you can put it:

Asscher - Foot
Baguette - Arms
Briolette - Face
Cushion - Body
Marquise - Weapon
Oval - Jewelry
Pear - Head
Round - Back
Trilliant - Shield

2- There can be a gem OR a substat on an item, but not both. If you add a gem to an item with substats, only the gem stats will be in effect but the substats are not gone.  If you remove the gem, the substats will be in effect again.

3- You can't place a substat on a gemmed item.

4- It’s difficult to remove a gem while keeping it intact. Even with the Separation Drill in the Valor Shop, there is a chance to fail, so keep that in mind when deciding whether or not to gem something.

5- For those people who gem costume items for the gem glow effect, I’ve included ss of each gem that can be put into a weapon or offhand and the glow in the spoilers below.  Many times, the color of the gem or its icon will not indicate what color the glow is in the game. NOTE Gems on face, head, body, glove, back and foot items will not have a visible glow in the game.

6- Gems that are crafted can be used by characters of any level. All other gems in the game have minimum level requirements and those are indicated in each gem's description.

DUNGEON GEMS
The following do not have level restrictions.  Each level of gem ([1], [2], [3]) has a higher %

Dolomite Asscher – Maximum Item Drop Quantity
Combeite Pear – Common Item Drop Rate
Umbite Baguette – Uncommon Item Drop Rate
Raspite Round – Rare Item Drop Rate
Variscite Asscher – Very Rare Item Drop Rate
Esperite Cushion – Epic Item Drop Rate
Legrandite Marquise – Legendary Item Drop Rate

LEGRANDITE MARQUISE

It's difficult to catch the full glow effect in a screenshot.  In my opinion, the glows look a lot better in the game than they do in these images but at least this gives an idea of the color of these gem glows.

I was confuse by those DROP properties... what does those mean? Example, Maximum Item Drop Quantity, does it mean that when I have such GEM, instead of usual 1 item drop, it would be multiplied or increase?

Are those drop properties add up like if I have all of those in my avatar, each "stat" if we may call them like that, will all add up and make my avatar somewhat "lucky" with regards to Drop Items?

Just curious and hoping to be enlightened because we can't just go with Trial and Error there as those Gems all cost a fortune to acquire specially for us lowbies... We need to be sure for us to prioritize GEMs that would be beneficial when acquired and used.

So the way this rose drop system works is you kill something and each tier has a chance to drop something all at once.

So you add the quantity gem +1 chance and it just does a second roll on all the tiers. Which means you can get 2 of each tier potentially.

the drop gem (uncommon/common/ect) just increases the chances you get a drop from that tier during the roll

Does that make sense?

For the maximum item drop quantity, it works like this:

Say you’re farming for Angel feathers. By default, let’s say you can only get Angel feathers (3) at max and (1) at minimum. The max item drop quantity will increase the max (in this case 3) to whatever value the gem gives. So if the gem gives: [Max Item Drop Quantity 3], then now you can get Angel feathers (6) and still (1) for minimum.

This gem does not effect items that are weapons, equipment, or anything else that doesn’t have a ( ) when you pick up the item.

For the drop gems, Zurn explained it above.
