That or the aesthetic is based on Junon+Luna. We have seven planets. At least one of those is highly technologically advanced. I feel we should rethink the aesthetic spectrum in which we operate.

whatever planet it is, doesn't matter - there's an overarching aesthetic. The Aurum plate armor for example looks like paper thin low res garbage - when compared to righteous armor, the dimple set, jag set, etc etc..

Not like they owe you an explanation or anything.....

Sure, but when there are sellers offering close to half a trillion zulie - with proof of it sitting on their character/account - I have to call it out.

That’s proof we can track zulie and I’m telling you that your assumption about how many are in circulation is inaccurate.

I appreciate you've got the ability to track, but what I've witnessed suggests otherwise.
I also understand that you won't just openly prove how much is in circulation, as that'd be unrealistic to expect - but I don't buy for a second that there isn't a trillion zulie in circulation.

There is no bug. More possible is that bone drop from the Orlo monsters cost 500,000 each every time you exchange them in NPC. It was reduced to 100,000 but there were soooo many players farming it before. You don't wanna know how much they zulies on their pockets. Also if your clan has a very rare drop skill unlock you get a lot of blue gears, especially clearing the COU dungeon. One full inventory can give 700k-1m per run if you sell it to NPC.

Yeah but there's literally trillions in circulation at least.

  5. That honestly looks excellent (though anything over what we currently have does)
Might also be a good idea to include the quest log journal to the side of the map instead of the listed zones for the planet.

Having a look at WoW's map system would be an excellent source of inspiration. Right click to zoom out, left click to select an area map.

Also even if i really want it, i'm not sure this is something that the ROSE community is really waiting for so not really a priority...

Fair, but I think this kind of implementation would be aimed at new players. Safe to say that most players who end up playing for any length of time eventually find out where the spawns are and so on. If this is made convenient or easier for new players, it'll support incentive that they should stick around, as the game will be accessible and full of player comforts.

You wouldn't have to know where spawns 1 or 2 are for pincer/neps farming for example, you could open your map and see a concentration of players there.

Just some thoughts anyway, I'd love to see expansion on this but like with most threads here, you're only going to find the same 5-10 people commenting and posting.  😞

The funny thing is- those baseball sets are really old.  They were in the game many years before the design contests we had at NA the last years of the server- back when the game had artists that just worked on Rose.

And even with that huge hat, this still happens  😂

I'd hope for some kind of vetting process so that things that are making it into the game don't look like off brand toys found in a bargain bin...

One of the reasons I came back is because Rednim position on this

They do have a deeper explanation as to why (not sure where)  - But their stance on auction house is something I am very happy with.

I do agree it plays a part in SOME of the identity of the game, but refusing to revise an existing system that is fundamentally superseded by newer ideas and thoughts just seems to be a little naive..

What if the Auction houses were planet-dependant?
I get this could be immediately seen as counter intuitive, but i think at the core of the argument, we're wanting to maintain the reason that people primarily gravitate toward a single point, to create a sense of community. That's what we should be aiming to preserve.
For example... a lot of players would still resort to going to Junon to participate in what would be the most widely-accessible AH?

The current shop system is sort of like, what makes the game what it is. Is it kind of annoying? Yeah. it is. But honestly its the little annoyances that makes this game the amazing game that it is. I hate having to go searching for stuff in shops. But the mechanic is just... well.. it's awesome 🙂
It's awesome because, location, location, location. That sort of thing matters. Which is great 🙂

There's no denying the negative/detrimental effect this can have though.
Some players for example will port into a city or town, see a "CHEAP X" shop and buy what they want/need, only to find another shop 5 mins later that's cheaper, sometimes considerably so.

It would help standardise a lot of prices for things that are in high demand for both buy/sell and stop a lot of the gouging that occurs on a shop by shop basis.

I don't think ROSE's identity depends entirely on the shop system as it is.

Yeah ancient gear was so cool and really made for some unique looks. Was pretty awesome and funny seeing a mage with ancient raptor gear. I had an ancient heavenly coat and it was one of my favorite items in game. Also, these sold for quite a lot, so was pretty good for the market and was a zulie sink to get these items. Hope they make a come back!

Playing devil's advocate - it's also important to maintain individual class identity. Much like other MMORPG's, cloth wearers for example 'could' look cool wearing plate armor, but it sort of ruins the class fantasy (even if it's only from a transmog/aesthetic perspective).

On that note. The people that want a wipe of the server. - Why? Is there something you need help farming? Let me know I will try to farm it with you.

I fully appreciate your position, and understand why you feel the way you do and I also recognise that Rednim have stated that there will not be any wipes.

But there's nothing to otherwise stop those who are profiting off of bugs and abuses that are being kept tight for obvious reason.
We are looking at more than trillions of zulie circulating. Where did that kind of volume come from exactly? Even with your example of the 'farmers' - you cited "3,600,000,0000,0000" (which I'm sure is an error) Is meant to be 360 Trillion Zulie?
C'mon, that's unreasonable without any kind of scripting/botting/mass account automation.

This sets an awful precedent, and with how things currently sit - those at the top will have a much easier time in doing so (permitting they dont get banned) than the rest of us will have a chance of getting lucky or 'playing the market' to a degree where we'll make a profit that's worth something.

A server wipe stands to serve more than just an economy-correcting purpose, but maybe that's deserving of further elaboration in the existing thread.

  11. We already have access to maps of each zone that are infinitely more useful than the art that currently presents itself when pressing M.

    • Upscale/higher resolution images of the maps currently visible in the Mini-map that you can zoom in/out with your mouse-wheel.
    • Ability to set markers (for heading to a spawn with your party)
    • Make sure all NPC's are accounted for - Quest markers also notable (both with quests available, and quests for turning in).
    • Add functionality to be able to see AND differentiate between party, clan, and friends on the zone you're currently in.
    • Markers for events and other map-content(i.e boss spawns or timed-events etc)

    What about the Mini-map?
Would be easy enough for it to follow suit to the above mentioned improvements, but as a smaller quick-reference window. The purpose a mini-map should serve.

There's already an alternative mod to make the mini-map bigger which has been very welcome:

But implementing the suggestions above would be a be all, end all fix.

Wipe without fixing the problem and it will just happen again. Prices have doubled just this past week. Devs need to figure out these zulie sources.

Of course. A wipe shouldn't be done haphazardly...  once the exploits/abuse have been caught out then it would be a consideration.

I know everyone who wants to save time running and compete to people there really wants this happen. It's also more enjoyable when war is on going.

    Please implement sikuku ruins scroll

There's certainly issues with ruins, but I don't think a scroll helps this. You can pop out the front and use a scroll there (if returning to xita), otherwise maybe a scroll that sends you straight to the adjacent map would be a comfort?

I'd much rather see the introduction of a level cap to the zone, so that 250's can't wander around and create what I'd consider are significant interruptions to people who are just trying to catch up and grind out levels.

probably too late for economy stabilization. I have seen this issue coming from a mile away, and informed Rednim about it, including a temporary fix. The ticket alone took a month before getting a very stereotype reply. and to this day(another month passed since), there aren't any signs of fixes or band-aids.

Zulies circulating are genuine. Zulies in the server are the build-up of everyone's desire to refine and buy gears. The increased purchasing power of players due to <<<<>>>> made it possible.

about nerfed zulie quests: Chewed Bone nerf did slow things down, but In-need-of-repairs quest bug fix didn't actually nerf the zulie flow. It made things worse cause people became desperate and found an alternative / faster / easier way.

*my thoughts about how zulie value went trash*

In every MMO, there comes a period where game currency follows iRL currency, so when the exchange rates go to an equilibrium, the ones punished for it are the f2p players left farming in-game currencies for gears.

How? let's make the infamous Lisent U an example.
Sources of the best refine materials and rare gears being held by one group makes the zulie accumulation easy. therefore, zulies funneled in this manner makes the zulie-material cycle fast, and exclusive. If this 'group' then makes an RMT trade(selling zulie), they would beat other zulie sellers, cause they have the luxury of selling zulies at a lower rate due to having the exclusivity of re-accumulating zulies again, in a fast manner. this makes them the go-to of zulie buyers. so if another zulie seller wants to make profit, they would then be forced to put on a lower rate than before, just to sell. then here comes the 'group' again with a new batch of freshly accumulated zulies, gonna be sold on a lower rate so it would be sold fast. this cycle and competition to sell zulie continues on. and as the value of zulie lowers, prices in-game increase as it's the way to make up for reaching the 'equilibrium' value.

take note that this can happen on any in-game item, as long as it is needed by the players. this insight came from my experience of playing a ton of MMO's as a f2p player, and observation(haki).

kinda sad that Rednim thought it was just being the Lisent U's alone, buffing Turak just makes it more exclusive to end-game farmers. LOL

All the more reason why a wipe should be prevalent.

I hate that we have to tip toe around certain topics because fear of ban hammers and the like, it's not a healthy way to discuss and address concerns.
