It's not that simple, it's a lot deeper than this. If you look at it simply from the outside, of course pay to skip is bad. And to see if something is P2W, you have to look at winning what. Reaching Lv.250 is not winning the game, but in the case of ROSE online, reaching Lv.250 give you access to a lot money making opportunity and the side effect of further nurturing your other character, pay to skip in this case is indirect pay to win.

I'm not an advocate for P2W, I used to be super anti pay to win in the old NA rose, but I grew up, started seeing things from the bigger picture. No one likes pay to win, even right now I don't like it either. My point is, look at the big picture, look around the people in the game, look at the shops in Junon, look at the game arena occurrence and look around the forum activity, if you have played the previous NA rose, you don't see history is repeating itself? The previous NArose had only like 3 developers, it milked the playerbase like mad through refine runes, re-roll hammer, boosters, yet it bite the dust. The current ROSE under Rednim have 6 developers, I doubt it is sustainable in the long run with just cosmetics microtransaction and donation.

This game is not some hyper competitive eSports game. If you are ok with someone spending 5+ hours per day to have an advantage, you should be ok with someone spending a little bit of money to have some convenience as well. But again, I'm not an advocate of P2W, I hate it so much, though there are plenty of ways to monetize this game without interfering with the game's competitive fairness and integrity.

Pay2Win is disgusting because you are fighting against someone with advantage over you due to certain items locked behind paywall, but you know what's more disgusting? Fighting with crap gear against someone with end game gear because you are not as hardcore and elite gamer enough but you have all the knowledge, skill stat build, fighting experience to begin with. PvP is a competition of skills, builds, experience, knowledge, it's not a competition of time investment sink into this game.

So again, when it comes to Pay2Win, you have to identify what you are trying to win.

    1) Becoming the wealthiest player

    2) Becoming the largest costume collector

    3) Becoming the biggest crew, clan

    4) Achieving the highest CON, SEN, CHA, AP, DEF, M-Speed, etc

    5) Speedrunning to Lv.250, or dungeons time attack

    6) Acquiring the best PvM, PvP equipment

I choose not to sink a hundreds of hours in order to set foot to compete not because I'm lazy, but I've seen sht in the past. Saying P2W is not ok but Nolife2Win is ok, is pretty self contradictory and hypocritical.

Don't overcomplicate. MOBAs aren't pay to win because even if you spent million dollars, you won't have the advantage in winning the game. There's no such thing as Pay2win when it comes to owning skins.

Depends on the nature of advantage. Does the advantage affects "winning" in terms of combat? If yes > Pay2win. If no > Not pay2win.

Let's be honest, we can't be too snowflake at calling everything P2W, the game needs to make money somehow in order to be self-sustainable.

In the end, P2W is not the only problem, some people still have advantage over you because they can spend 5+ hours per day, they will certainly have an advantage over you.

I'm ok with Pay to Skip, but not to the degree where if you don't pay up, you never even reach the basic goal of doing something.

You should only be able to pay to get more than basics, but you should not be induced to pay to get to the basic.

If they play 5+ hours a day, then they deserve that advantage. If one player just paid to skip this, that's pay2win.

  3. The only P2W elements are these two:

    1. Anything that affects stats/combat vs player (both direct and indirect).

    2. Anything with significant zulie advantage such as being able to trade with others those items bought with real money or item mall (including cosmetics).

Hi! I'm still confused as to how should I build my battle cleric because I want to solo bosses. I think I need help on skill build wise and stat wise

for the gears im currently using exalted raging set for cleric , hardened amazing brush and spider set for my accessory.

If you plan solo boss hunting, you can go offense cluster, defense cluster, and summon cluster.

    Try the following:
    Offensive core 80
    Enhancement core 15
    Skill-based core 30
    Skill-based extension - Fire 10
    Intelligence extension 15
    Summon core 10
    Phantom sword summon extension 5
Total: 165 (You can add more skill clusters but make sure it will not hinder the way you play as battle cleric, such as summon Salamander will reduce the number of Phantom sword that you can summon, etc).

Go for Arua/Hebarn or Typhoon/Gale, Junon Mask, Exalted Raging.

As for stats, 150 SEN, 100 CHA, 250 DEX, rest INT.

Would you say it is possible to get pt when leveling as a bc or do people just not want you in their pt? 🙂

It is possible if you play as lurer. BC is mainly fun when leveling in Eldeon from 120 to 160. At level 160, you will be forced to FS in Ruins BUT you can still find party if you work as lurer, but not as easy as when you play FS.

  7. Additional note: If you still need help on how to customize your build, feel free to ask by describing how you want to play with your cleric. You can use the clusters as your initial references then I can create a custom build for you.

    For example:

A battle cleric with healing support capabilities.

    1. Take offensive core
    2. Take healing core and extension-party
    3. Get more sub-clusters based on what you need/want (for example, since you will need more mana as healer, get Mana flame or mana regeneration).
    4. Wrap up for 241 points (if you are level 250) or based on your current SP.
    5. ???
    6. Done!

    Closing Remarks

Muse job skills are technically grouped into 5 clusters, namely:

    • Common
    • Offensive
    • Supportive
    • Cleric
    • Mage

But for the benefit of this guide, we will be grouping skills into multiple groups and clusters.

    Definition of terms:

    • Cluster - Cluster is a main group of skills based on your preference of build.
    • Core - Core is a sub-group of skills which are important within their respective clusters.
    • Extension - Extension is a sub-group of skills that usually requires core group as pre-requisite.
    • Luxury - Luxury is a sub-group that is usually purely additional/bonus.

    Important notes:

    • Numbers in parenthesis is the amount of required SP. Skill groups within a cluster may (such as Summon Cluster) or may not share the same required core skills.
    • Skills in blue are base skills without prerequisites
    • Skills in green are skills with chained prerequisites
    • Skills in yellow are final skills or skills that isn't required to learn another skills.
    • Skills in orange are standalone skills.

    HOW TO CUSTOMIZE YOUR BUILD?

You can customize your build by mix-and-matching clusters for as long as your total SP will not exceed your usable SP (241 SP at max level). Some sub-clusters can be mixed together. Note that all skills within a cluster may or may not be included depending on your preference.

For example, FULL SUPPORT CLERIC may consider the following skills:

    Cluster-based skill preferences:

    • Healing Core (25) allows healing.
    • Healing Extension - Party (25) allows party heal.
    • Healing Extension - Revive (5) allows revive.

    • Sleep (1) allows sleep.

    Total: 241

This build is capable of full healing skills, full mana sustains, full supportive buffs, full defense, and some single-target sleep control.

Another example, FULL DEFENSIVE CLERIC may consider the following skills:

    Cluster-based skill preferences:

    • Healing Core (25) allows healing.
    • Healing Extension - Party (25) allows party heal.
    • Intelligence Extension (15) increases INT.
    • Summon Core (10) allows summoning.
    • Summon Extension (7) allows bonfire and bonfire upgrade.
    • Defensive Summon Extension - HP (4) allows salamander flame.
    • Mana Core - INT (20) allows mana regeneration and max MP through INT.
    • Mana Extension (15) reduces mana consumption and increases max MP.
    • Sleep Core (10) allows sleep controls.
    • Purify Core (10) allows unbuffing and muting.

    Individual skill preferences:

    • Mana Shield (5) allows mana shield

    Total: 241

This build is capable of full defense with mana shield and full healing and can also take advantage of sleep (and aoe sleep), unbuffing, muting, and stun.

    • Summon Extension (7) allows bonfire and bonfire upgrade.
    • Defensive Summon Extension - HP (4) allows salamander flame.
    • Mana Core - INT (20) allows mana regeneration and increases max MP through INT.
    • Mana Extension (15) reduces mana consumption and increases max MP
    • Sleep Core (10) allows sleep controls.
    • Purify Core (10) allows unbuffing and muting.

    Individual skill preferences:

    • Mana Shield (5) allows mana shield.

    Total: 241

This build is capable of attack-based and skill-based offense with Salamander flame and Mana Shield. Also capable of unbuffing, muting, stuns, sleep (and aoe sleep).

    CLOSING REMARKS

Let's wrap this up. Maybe some other guides will help you with stats. But as a rule of thumb, this is the summary for stats:

    • For support cleric with maximum (or near max) healing/buffs, INT = level, rest CHA.
    • For battle cleric with highest AP, DEX = level, some SEN for critical, rest INT.
    • For defensive cleric with balanced defenses, DEX = INT.

Note: If you find any incorrect info in this guide, please feel free to point them out for correction.

Yeah this person isn't making any sense. I play single client and my main is a battle Muse going for battle Cleric lol. The class is really enjoyable without having to spend SP on 12 different buffs.

Battle cleric is a very fun way of playing cleric. Its ranged and fast AA is very satisfying to watch. Add the fact that you aren't using any ammo lmao.

nobody would play cleric if they disable duel clienting. People only use them to support their other character, They are not fun at all and are stressful anymore with no buffs and such weak heals. And if you dont want to duel client then don't It should be an option and has since the beginning of rose. You new players have terrible suggestions.

    What?

  11. 1. Disable the CLOSE function from ALT+F4! This was possible back in NA ROSE. I place my buff skills in Alt Hoykeys and when I press F4, BAM!

    2. Make function hotkeys (F1-F12) usable when entering chat mode. This is frustration. Sometimes I don't know why my skills aren't casting, then it ends up that I had entered chat mode (usually accidentally).

    3. Place all shortcut keys of UIs in the leftmost of the keyboard. We need the Alt V (inventory), Alt A (character), Alt F (friends), Alt S (skills) back. When playing, we are usually using the leftmost keys to access the UIs.

3b. If not, include these to legacy mode.

PS: Also, please fix WASD keys causing movement malfunctions. When using W, sometimes your character moves backwards.

Mob aggro is too high. The mobs hit very hard in this game, which is understandable because players like a challenge. However the distance that they chase you is extremely long. In some cases, with low mov. speed, you cannot even escape/get past a group of mobs you're not even trying to fight.

Today was the most extreme example. I was wandering through Arumic Valley / Crystal Snowfields (do not recall exact map) and mammoths literally followed me from north portal all the way to south-east of the map where the Dread. king spawns. This is literally all the way from top to furthers bottom of the map. It is ridiculous. There was no way to outrun them, even in cart I could just stay ahead of them.

Not sure if bug, or intended, but could you please review?

I feel you. The mammoths! Really, the mammoths!

This games demographic is adults, many of which have a job and many even have families. These people will not want to spend a whole month just to get a single character to max level. The game has to respect their time more.

If you play one hour a day, very unlikely you will be max level within a month. That's too much time, people don't want to spend every hour of their day on this. I say this as someone who has a lot more time than the average player. Because I don't see many adults wanting to put in every hour of their free time and it still

My suggestion is for the developers and the community to look at a way to streamline this experience. There's many ways to go about this. Here's a few suggestions:

    - Double Exp weekends/events

    - Increase the Exp rate

    - More exp from quests

    - Exp Medals, preferably ingame obtainable but can also be IM

These are just a few quick suggestions, I'm sure there are more and better ways to go about this so please leave your own suggestions.

It's not slow at all levels. In some places it's great and it shouldn't be adjusted, but there are definitely levels where it feels like it takes a really long time.

I urge the devs to look into how many hours it takes to go from 1 to 250 currently. And to then look at how many hours they think it should take. If it is for example (made up numbers) on average 2 hours for 10 levels currently. That would mean it takes 50 hours to get a single character from 1 to 250. That is obviously way too long.

TL;DR, no. The game wasn't developed so that you skip 99% of the areas, zones, maps, worlds into the game. Getting into 250 is just the ultimate goal, but playing and grinding is the main part of the game.

Does anyone have a good explanation on the difference of Skill Power Power and Attack power? Does attack power increase damage on basic attacks and skill power affects skills being used on each character?

Attack power affects both skill and melee (auto/basic/normal) attack. Skill power is calculated by percentage of attack power plus flat skill power (not entirely sure about this).

For example: A skill in description shows 150% +100 wherein 150% is for your attack power, 100 is for flat skill power, and the total as for skill power.

I wouldn't want players to show up on my map unless it are party members. I mean in cities, like Junon Polis, the map wouldn't be readable at all. Even an hide option is a bad idea. Not everything has to be tracked with that precise. WoW feature to have just a list of players present in a map is best solution. You can see how crowded it is by looking at the list. You don't need more then that. Not everything should be on the map.

If you don't want the said feature, you can have it disabled. You don't need to disagree to an idea just because you don't like it. This feature can come with flexibility to cater those who want and those who don't want.

  17. Imagine Tiktok getting invaded with ROSE Online dance crazes. This would be a great cosmetic collection. I don't mind if monsters drop these skill books, then players farm for it while everyone are spending their zulies just to have a certain dance craze skill book.

There's way too much happening in that diagram for me to parse quickly. 😛 I'll be back!

lmfao. There are no lines/arrows there yet (idk how to, lol). But the idea is to give the Artisan 3 core groups of skills:
1: Crafting (advance, supporting with crafted items, weapons, equips, pots, and indirect battle capabilities with crafted grenades, landmines, etc)
2: Summons (immobile summons, supporting with crowd controls and powerups, and indirect battle capabilities with attacking summons)
3: Gun/Launcher skills (direct battle capabilities).

Proposal is somehow complete; I can send you a copy as they have descriptions when you hover each skill.
