Hello all,

Thank you for the tremendous feedback from last week's patch! We were excited to roll out OCF temple and the changes to Cave of Ulverick. In response to player input we're following up our patch to incorporate this feedback. We're happy to have an engaged community! Check out the details below:

 


Orlo Clan Field Temple

We have made some changes to the temple based on the play test last week and player feedback. Kepris will now only spawn once the teleporter has fully closed. Additionally, we have improved the field drops for Kepris to make him more rewarding to kill!

NOTE: Unfortunately, we are well aware that a large number of players performing combat in one area is currently not an enjoyable experience. This is something that has plagued the game for almost a decade that we inherited when we took over development. Rest assured, we are deep into an investigation to permanently fix this once and for all. Just like we improved the graphics quality and performance of the game last year, we are confident that we will solve this issue soon. In the mean time, we are thankful and appreciative of your patience!

 


Cave of Ulverick

We have made some adjustments to Ulverick in CoU based on the feedback to our changes. We have removed the dispel skill, increased the cooldown for switching targets, and adjusted Ulverick's combat stats overall. We've additionally made some changes to the drop tables addressing some long standing complaints.

As a bonus, Ulverick Medallions are now worth 200,000 zulie when selling to an NPC.

 


Sikuku Catacombs

For some time now, we have received feedback and observed that players have "min-maxed" this dungeon by running straight to Shaman Ranka and then abandoning the dungeon after kill her. In order to encourage players to stay and complete the whole dungeon, we have added some valuable and worthwhile loot to Gloopy and Executor Ul'gath's drop tables.

 


Honor/Valor Conversion

For years, players have been asking us to evaluate the honor/valor conversion ratios and we're happy to say that we've finally made a change here. Converting from Honor to Valor or from Valor to Honor is now always 3 to 1. Specifically we changed:

  • Honor to Valor conversion from 2:1 to 3:1
  • Valor to Honor conversion from 5:1 to 3:1

Please be aware that we may change these again in the future or remove them entirely as we continue to balance and improve on Game Arenas and Dungeons.

 


Akram Arena: Heal Dampening

Players who are active in participating in Akram Arena are well aware that Clerics play a large role in the game mode. We have regularly made tweaks to various classes and skills to try to mitigate the heal-Armageddon-nobody-dies-everyone-hug-crystal gameplay. In this update, we have added a heal dampening effect that is based on the number of Clerics on a team. Now the more Clerics a team has, the less effective their combined heals will be.

As always, please provide feedback on your experience with this change and we will keep a close eye on AA to monitor the impact of this change.

 


Early game drop adjustments

As part of an effort to improve the feel of drop tables across the game, we have adjusted the drop tables for the early game maps as well as Sikuku Prison. Players will now get less "junk" drops and the drops for each mob will match its "identity". For example, players will get "pumpkin pieces" from pumpkin kills, rather than an assortment of other random junk items.
