Naruku Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Hello everyone! I need help, I can't seem to play the game ever since I first downloaded it on my pc. I'm pretty sure my pc can run this game considering its specs. Pc specs: Windows 10 i-5 2500 3.30ghz 4gb ram integrated graphics When launched from the updater, and when clicking play, it launches the game but it shows it in black screen with the game cursor on, music plays from the background then nothing else happens, I already tried letting it run in the background in hopes of waiting for the game screen to show but to no avail. I excluded it from my antivirus as well, and deleted the updater folder and repatched it, also already downloaded the microsoft edge webview2 but its still the same. No legacy box is shown in the launcher
HoneyBuns Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Sorry that you are having a problem. We no longer have the Legacy client as an option. Please make sure that Windows and the drivers on your computer are fully updated. Then go to the ROSE installation folder and delete the updater folder and let the launcher repatch.
lazypenguin Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Hello, some additional things you could try: Please make sure you have the correct graphics driver for your graphics rather than the microsoft default one Please try the legacy mode, if you open `%APPDATA%/Rednim Games/ROSE Online/config` in explorer and edit the `rose.toml` file with notepad, please add a line so it looks like this [video] backend="dx9" This will enable a legacy mode but please know that it's not fully supported. The terrain will appear strange in some areas. If this works it will help us narrow down the issue. Thanks!
Naruku Posted August 2 Author Posted August 2 Went and looked up the folder at %appdata% / roaming for the rednim games folder, but couldn't seem to find it in roaming, only the folder "rose-updater.exe" is shown, then i looked up at %appdata% /local til i found the rednim games folder there, but the problem is there seems to be no config folder or file at all, alongside the rose.toml file isn't there. Last picture shows inside the folder of the "rose-update.exe folder"
lazypenguin Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Ah okay this likely means that the game was not able to fully start up. The most likely scenario here is graphics card / driver related. Would you be able to open "device manager" and provide a screenshot for what it says under "Display Adapters"? We can also try creating an empty config for the game to find on its own and that might be able to work around the issue for now. Could you try: Opening `C:\Users\pc\AppData\Roaming\Rednim Games\ROSE Online\config` folder in explorer (if any of these folders don't exist they would need to be created) Creating a file called `rose.toml` and and the text below to it using notepad [video] backend = "dx9"

Nenhuma caixa legada é mostrada no inicializador I opened a ticketed on June 21st, with the same situation and they are trying to resolve it.
