Let me start. I would do the following:
- Each planet is one big continent. No longer seperate zones, but you can travel seamlessly from one zone to another.
- Each zone would be much bigger to have a better immersiveness of each zone.
- The main story questline guides the player through the zones instead of being sent on a wild goose chase.
- Of course according to modern times the graphics/game engine/etc.. will be greatly improved without losing the charm of ROSE.
This !Â
Especially :
 - Whole continent as one zone
 - Better visibility (see farther players & mobs & interactions)
 - better combat feeling when receiving a blunt/stun vs. trying to cast a spell

When did you start playing ROSE Online? forgot, certainly around 2006
What do you like the most from ROSE Online? The real MMO genra, where people would stop to help each others, the discussion, the shops
What's your favorite class to play? Cleric on principle. Or some AoE character like the knight. Never went really far on the content other than leveling up to 250. Usually I went on another char afterwards (last was a bourgeois)
Favorite memory:Â Farming in prison on the 3rd planet as an AoE group.
Favorite monster:Â Well of course, the jellynut, the first "dad" mob you could spawn.
Things you hate the most in ROSE:Â Â people having all the classes themselves and living their best lives alone.
Anything you want to say? As a fellow developer & eng. ops myself, I can understand that migrating a codebase from early 2000 to a more modern architecture is a real challenge. I do hope you will have the time & luxury to make the correct scaling architecture so that this game will be able to handle thousand of gamers on a same tile/map without lagging  (please no 200+ distinct servers like every latest games are doing to cope with the population)

To me, another solution would be to have the buff locked on the party players. If the buff giver leaves a party, all the buffs he put on players from that party are removed too.
So cleric will still be a buffslave, but you just have to keep him there and potentially loosing another teammember on said party.
Another way to balance buffric would be around those : - Buffs are more aggressive but stay way less (thinking of seconds). Something around that
 - Having a stat that modifies the duration of said buffs, making a balance between his power & his duration (you can't max both).Just random toughts that surely requires more polishing but maybe interesting in the long run ?

Don't restrict crafting materials to certain level ranges.

The shop is a mandatory part of the game imho. That's what binds players together, and brings joy to cities... Removing those would essentially kill all the MMO part of the game. Any idea that involves a buyout from a NPC / Auction House should be excluded imho.
