  1. According to FAQ:
What is the maximum population of a channel on a server? The technical limitation is 4000, but it might be less due to server load, connectivity, etc.

question regarding the channels and the 4000 max population lets say im playing on channel A for a couple of weeks, but the channel is full and im gonna play on channel B, will my progress be the same as on channel A? I remember it being that way in the past but i havent played the version that this version is based on.

  2. yea the suggestion never really took off and i feel we will be in open beta soon where everyone can enjoy the music.

Just thought it would be insane if you where browsing spotify to randomly come across Rose music and feel those feelings again, look it up and find us.

I usually enjoy your takes and ideas, but I strongly have to disagree with this one. Streamlining equipment into a linear progression from one place is killing a lot of the original mmorpg spirit out of this game. I really hate the quest reward equipment sets and current Honor sets for the same reason.

Your suggestion makes gearing a (mandatory) time investment, but no more than that. How boring is it to know, that whatever upgrade I want I just go and farm Union Points and then buy the slightly better version of what I already have.

Equipment should come frome diverse sources and there should not be a clear "these 4 pieces together are clearly BiS" enforced by strong set boni or a disproportionate amount of stats (like the current Honor sets). I want to explore and look around and then have so many (potential) options from different places, that it's not easy to see, what would be "best" and most practical to chase. There needs to be an element of exploration and mixing and matching, looking for items to complement the best you've got, even at the higher levels.

There is wealth of interesting stats available on only few current endgame items. Use those to create new prefixes for a diversify in equipment at all levels. Rather than making the "standard" items even more redundant, I'd love to see them expanded upon.

I whole-heartedly agree with this point. Flat damage modifiers are the most boring stats and the naming breaks immersion. There are stats uniquely suited for PvP equipment like sleep, stun, mute and critical resistance, which could be complemented further by a criticial damage resistance.

If this game becomes a Union Point treadmill, where all you do during the endgame to better your equipment is turn in another batch of points for another 10% of power I'm really not interested in playing anymore. Gearing should not be this uninspired.

I dont have enough knowledge to go in depth on this, but isnt this exactly where we are heading? level 100 is cap at first planet.. so anything after the first planet basically becomes a grind for different gear? be it through Union points or grinding x mob 10000 times?

stats and skill reset should not be an item mall item, should have access to atleast a free one and then after that should cost zulie to do. cost should increase over time depends on how much you reset your stats or skills maybe like a 5% increase each time. i dont know how much the 1st one should cost though maybe a few million zulie?

im not 100% on this but i believe they wanted resets to be freely available, so a mistake doesnt cost you anything, also seeing as we are gonna be max level on the first planet and we have 6 other planets left of endgame content you wanna be flexible on your skill set.

Altough again, if the economy spirals out of control, this could be someting.

Also, it's not hard to get an IROSE server going given how much free-sourced dev work is out there to use that has accumulated over the years.

Just wanna quickly go over this part here, do you think this will be a good idea? it will actively split up a community, even tough i would love to go back to IROSE, because thats where i knew what was going on.. i dont think having 2 versions of the game is the right decission. or did you mean something else by this?

  6. I didnt see your post, but yea my suggestion is basically the same as yours i just feel mine fits a bit more in to the roleplay aspect.

Your suggestion is however way more conveniant, as you would just have the information available whenever you enter a map.

  7. My suggestion is to make a Quest Board in every big Town. It would just be a board where the NPC's advertise that they need help.

It wouldn't offer any advantages, like you cant pick up the quest from the board. So youll still have to visit the designated NPC and pick up the quest from there.

Its just a way of showing the appropriate quests for your level and knowing where to start.

I feel like some quests can be missed if youre not carefull and it feels weird having to revisit some lower level quests when you are higher level.

Could even have different tabs to show story quests, fetch quests that kind of thing.

    Thoughts?

  8. No from me, this is the same suggestion like a 5x server for people who dont have enough time. It will divide the player base.

However if they dont bring back the tree house login screen im going to throw a tantrum.

  9. This would be really fun down the line, add your own garden, dungeon, throne room.. all huge zulie sinks..

I only think these should be implemented as zulie sinks, i dont think any exp or any benefits should come from them, it might be to easy to have someone script/bot in there POH..

  10. I'm liking this idea.

just have to make sure this doenst become the next level fetch quest.

We could make it so that special monsters spawn in certain maps and need specific items to slay them, consumables or equipment. ( I'm stealing this from a other MMO btw)
You can buy these items from your slayer master/taskgiver and he will give hints when assigning certain monsters.

These monster spawn all around and you have to track them down.

Now let's say a monster(s) spawns in Adventure plains and a new person is trying to attack it, it could give a message something like
"You feel you need some special technique to hurt this monster, perhaps you could ask .... for help?"

this would ensure high level players revisit old maps and the spawn wont intervere with the new players.

Yeah, this was discussed with me and someone else, i agree completely with this. This should be without a doubt talked about right now, and should be the MAIN priority next.

Maybe im bias and just not worried my names will be taken..
But to take time from the DEV team and make this the MAIN priority next(im assuming after Alpha?) is something i dont think the DEV team should do.

Focus should be launching this game. IGN already chosen? Tough luck IMO

  12. I dont like the part where it kinda forces you to partake in it.

Where you walk in to a map only to realise noone defended the crystal, and you first have to restore it in order to effectively play.
Or you realise the entire planet is down, again for the 5th time this week.

Ofc i have no experience whatsoever with how many times this will happen, also i have no idea how to do this better.

Other then that i like the idea, it fits with the lore, gives a new spin to things!

It actually does have that capability. It is specifically ignored in the source code. We even have a special routine that gradually decreases height above ground when you run off a high cliff.

TBH adding flight to the game would be pretty easy. Not trivial but definitely not too hard to do.

Whether we would actually want to do so is a completely different question as it would introduce a whole new set of potential problems, primarily related to the fact that we have individual maps rather than a continuous world.

It wouldn't be all that hard to switch to swimming mode when in water. It would require a lot of new game mechanics and animations but technically not too difficult.

I have to say though, I agree with Shid0x. Running through water and pretty much ignoring it is one of the features that I always liked about Rose

If flight is actually possible like you said we defintly need brooms, brooms with rockets on them, flying carpets, dragons and giant eagles.

    Edit:

Just read this on the FAQ
    "Will there be flying mounts?
ROSE on a technical level does not support z-axis movement. In the very far future after an engine swap this could be a thing."

I do not think this idea would fit the theme of rose and feel like it just is trying to make rose like every other mmorpg. This is what I liked about rose, is it it wasn’t like every other mmo

I dont think mining fits either, but how about fishing? Its something we can do as a group
