  1. Personally I'm not really a fan of chugging exp/currency potions while keeping track of how long they have left. I recently played a mmo with this and there were so many consumables for things that should just be built into the game that it became stressful tracking them. Just seems like busywork when they could just adjust passive exp gain tables etc...
  2. Okay so what about us Scouts? What about crossbow Knights? Do we not get a say in this?
  3. That sounds fantastic. Would make ammo much less about tedious resource management and more about switching ammo types to fit the given situation. Even if it isn't as deep as that just having it be a permanent equip would help stem off the headache that comes with the current system.
  4. The invisible cape is awesome thank you! I immediately bought it. I know the shield/offhand is probably a tougher case but they are so bulky and big and ruin so many outfits. If it is impossible to make it invisible is it at least possible to make a model that's so small it's hardly noticeable? I'm cursed with being a crossbow scout liker
  5. This is a good example of what i'm talking about. Being able to hide the shield opens up certain fantasy themes such as a duelist, fencer etc.... Every class in this game is required to either dual wield or use two handed weapons but there is a certain fantasy of just using a single weapon to fight that many appreciate, like how many heroes in fiction just wield a sword by itself. This ended up being one of the most popular cosmetic items for Paladin. It was so popular in fact that they removed its limited time status and just made it something you can equip from level 1.
  6. Durability exists in mmorpgs as a money sink that helps keep the economy (somewhat) in check and ranged weapons have durability as well. This money sink doesn't apply to ammo because you can get it for free. I honestly would rather have melee weapon durability then deal with a bad ammo system. Plus Cleric and Mage already don't have to worry about this despite being ranged. Also do we even know if melee weapons have less durability then ranged? My crossbow feels like it breaks just as fast as my melee weapons. I want to see the data.
  7. This would be good for us controller users also.
  8. So I'm a new player and I have mixed feelings. I've only been doing all the non repeatable quests and seeing others slingshot to 250 while i'm still low is pretty demoralizing. I feel like i'm being punished for wanting to do normal quests and reading the story. Of course I know this is just the result of how I choose to play the game and my schedule but.. It's an rpg right? There's just such a huge difference between standing in one spot and doing repeatables over actually exploring the world and fighting different monsters. Maybe I'm just being petty. I was encouraged to play because of the monetization changes and I want to support that (I still want an invisible back slot + invisible shield/offhand cosmetic) and I know changes take time but yeah things feel a bit off at the moment.
  9. Going to bump this because I still badly want this. Would spend money on both an invisible shield and an invisible back item.
  10. I'm not asking to remove crafting from Artisan, they would still be able to craft arrows for a lazy Scout. I just want Scout to be able to craft the items it needs to function. At the end of the day Artisan will be fine and profitable regardless if Scout can make its own ammo.
  11. Finding and using different ammo types could be a fun experience if the system wasn't a pain in the ass. To make matters worse a class like Scout can't even craft their own arrows. Are you telling me a survivalist who has mastered the bow and is in tune with nature enough to tame animals can't even craft a single arrow they need for self defense? It just doesn't make sense. This is the only game I've played where a ranged class can't supply their own ammunition.
  12. yeah not being able to order summons to attack on controller kinda sucks
  13. I play and enjoy using a controller but we really need a way to get access to more hotbar buttons. 12 isn't enough so I think a good option would be to allow a button that swaps between different pages.
  14. Xbow Scout is in an even worse spot. I hope we can get some adjustments soon.
  15. It's cool we have hair wax to hide hats and such but I would really love something similar to hide wings. Wings can be nice but they can clip into some outfits and sometimes you might just want to rock a more simple style. Also an invisible shield/offhand cosmetic would be pretty nice for Knights, Clerics, and Scouts who just want to use a one handed sword/wand/crossbow but aren't a fan of how the shields and offhands look. Sort of like "the emperor's new shield" glamour item in FFXIV that Paladins can use.
