this also happens to many who skip most content and rush to get max level, and miss most game content on first 3 planets 🙂

I didn't skip content at all.. on my first char I was exploring all kinds of cool areas including forest of wisdom, desert of the dead etc etc. Admittedly on my 2nd char I followed the meta of repeatable quests since the vast majority of players are doing these.. What content are you thinking I might have skipped? I'm honestly curious to know as I'd like to see the other parts of the game I may have missed.. but part of the problem also is that those parts are probably dead and therefore lose the MMO aspect of the game...

That's what happens when you play the game everyday, nonstop, for 2 months straight.

True but there's other games that have certain activities and content that add some RNG / rarity into the mix such that the grind still has an aspect of reward or encouragement to it

    Patience.

I will absolutely be playing when more content is released but what do I do in the meantime?

  2. So I have become a self professed ROSE addict the last couple of months and gone way further than I ever did as a 14 year old!

However the last couple of days I've logged on and found myself.. unentertained.. I feel like I've "completed the game".

I have a couple hundred million zulie, pretty much the best gear, so nothing really to strive for in that department.

Two max levels. Have done the dungeons numerous times and found them to be fairly uninspiring with the idea of "run through the first X rooms, have someone kite the mobs while you pewpew the minibosses, and then basically AFK while killing the final boss". I go to kill some kings to find myself competing with the same handful of players who have all the timers on lock at all times meaning it's hard to get a kill in edgewise.

I want the magic back where I had something to strive for, but fear that there is nothing left for me to do but possibly make a third char and then do the same handful of repeatable quests fifty times over.. which also doesn't really encourage me to keep playing...

  3. Why not have it so that all items listed in player vends are listed on an auction house. That way you can browse the streets or just look it up at a central database. Can't imagine that would be terribly difficult to implement either (he says never having coded a thing in his life).

Another unique skill would further increase the high startup cost of making an artisan. Rates should be higher, but I think that should just be a baseline thing within the crafting formula to make additional con more useful.

Disagree with the term "startup cost". I made millions selling hardened weapons and max stat tamiya bags at 100% without max CON.. and I am now a bourg! Yes it is certainly expensive to hit those four figure amounts of CON but that is not startup, but is endgame crafting. But you can easily craft profitable items with much lower CON and without the additional unique skills (flame rings come to mind).

Just to add, what I think should happen is when you hit certain thresholds of CON you get a bump up to your success rate. So 1200 > 1210 CON might add an extra 1% rather than the 0.1% or whatever tiny amount it is now. Diminishing returns doesn't make sense in the context of paying very high prices for the minmax CON items..

  5. I completely agree with OP. I enjoy killing kings but the exact timer aspect makes for an incredibly dull gameplay experience. And with there being not much else to do at max level, and with there being perhaps a dozen kings for a max level player base in the hundreds, it makes the competition for them insane and takes away any enjoyment. Especially when you see the same group of five people circulating day in day out.

Many MMOs have worked around this, Ragnarok in particular (another Gravity title and the inspiration for ROSE) has MVPs spawning at random locations on the map and within a spawn window. Adding the random element freed it up for a wider player base to enjoy, and I suspect if you put the question to them about removing the random nature, they would be against it.

  6. So I've been experimenting with summons on my cleric but over 50% of their attacks miss!! This feels a little silly.. perhaps it falls away at higher character levels but can you please look into how the scaling works?

    Much love

  7. So I play a bourg and while I love the AoE, I find it really disappointing how weak guns are. It’s night and day and I know it’s because launchers’ attack speed was increased. Can we get some love for guns so we have a viable alternative? Would love some single target dps love

I agree that dealers are the squishiest without any defensive skills. The thing Dealers can do that other classes cant is craft. You can craft potions to use to heal and also grenades for niche abilities like mana steal, stun, dmg, etc.

A neat survivability skill for dealer imo would be one called "Hired to Protect" (or something along those lines) which could be a 5 point skill reducing the cooldown on it from 60 sec to 40 sec and having the effect cause your active minions to take all damage the Dealer would take in the next 5 seconds as well as pulling monster aggro off the Dealer too.

    I like this!

Another idea is a mercenary taunt, perhaps for the melee one.. to give it some love.. which simply has the mercenary taunt the mob off of you.. that would be awesome! Could have it only work for like 5 seconds with a 20 seconds cooldown so that it doesn't become too OP

  9. So today I learned that Champions (maybe all soldiers) get a sweet health regen when they kill mobs..

I also know that mages have a pretty nifty magic shield.. clerics can heal themselves.. and the hawker classes can stack dodge pretty quickly to become pretty tanky in that regard.

Then there's us dealers.. there have been plenty of times that I've felt squishy but I've thought that it impacted everyone. However with the above in mind, it seems that dealers pull the short straw.

I wonder if dealers can get some kind of skill (active or passive) that helps with this? Let's get creative here, ideas as follows:

     - Active "Zulie Barrier" - All attacks made against the character are reduced by 25/50/75/100 until 25 attacks have been mitigated. Lasts xx seconds. xx seconds cooldown.

     - Active "Zulie Regen" - All attacks made by the dealer regenerate 50 hp (regardless of number of mobs hit).

     - Passive "Frugality" - Whenever the dealer kills a mob, they regen 10% of their max hp over 10 seconds (this effect cannot occur more than once every 10 seconds)

What do we think?! Completely open to tuning / scaling, but at the moment it feels like I'm continuously pumping my food and pots even in areas with grey names (thinking here some Xita mobs, and I'm level 221...)

  11. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say redoing your vending is annoying when the server disconnects.

I've no idea how easy this would be but could we have it so once you've dragged an item into the vending interface:

    1) It defaults so that the edit box is the price and not the quantity

    2) Maybe a bit more controversial, but remove the predetermined NPC value and have it be blank?

This would reduce the process from: Drag, Click into Price Box, Hold Backspace, Enter Price,    to    Drag, Enter Price

Gotta love that reduction in inputs!

Better yet though, have it so when you stop vending, it remembers what you were vending when you stopped, until the next time you use it again (but any items no longer in your inventory no longer feature in the selling list)
